Iā€™m so absolutely angry with Corsair.

rant

I have only ever really bought their mice when I needed something serious/more than $10 quality. Youā€™d expect when you throw $60 into a mouse it would last longer than a year, right? My M65 PRO broke within 6 months, with the left-hand omcron mechanical switch. Which apparently was such a common problem with the mouse that people just bought their own switches to replace it with. Corsair sends me back a repaired mouse, no new one. I argue that I bought it new less than 6 months ago and shouldnā€™t be turned aside to someone elseā€™s repaired trash, but nope. They send me a ā€œlike newā€ one. ā€œLike new!ā€ my butt. 5 months later, same thing happened. Again. Same place. I send it in like a Karen, because this is unacceptable. They send me ANOTHER used one, only this one is very clearly more used than the last one. They refuse again to send me a new one.

5 months later? The exact same thing. Again.

Corsair support this time? ā€œWell, youā€™ve already sent it in twice so thereā€™s nothing we can do. We suggest you to buy our new X mouse, though!ā€

Now I know why the crappy mouse had a 3yr warranty on it. Because its going to break every half year. Absolute trash. I am never buying from them again (and I own Corsair stuff like crazy; headset, keyboard, mouse, PSU, RAM etc). Meanwhile, a damn Logitech M705 from 2015 is performing like a champ for my sisters, whom have dropped that thing so many times itā€™s almost a comedy.

Never. Again. :rage: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Love the Logitech mice. Sturdy and does what it says on the box and doesnā€™t break the bank most of the time.

On another topicā€¦Anyone heard from @carvalho20ptc???

Posted 2 days ago ā€¦Very unusualā€¦

Iā€™ve been taking a look at the forums but I havenā€™t posted anything since I donā€™t have anything interest to do so.
Hey, I hope youā€™re doing better of your headaches, @delenn13. If not I suggest taking some rest in a quiet place, watch chill lo-fi videos or do whatever makes you feel better. :+1:

Logitech is also well known for faulty switches though. Every logitech mouse Iā€™ve owned since the first pilot mouse they made in the mid 90s has developed double click and button retention issues. You can find plenty of videos and guides for how to fix fix or replace the switches in damn near any logitech mouse. If youā€™ve manage to get a good one, take care of it because itā€™s one in a thousand.

They have always been pretty good at replacing them for me though.

I could replace the omcron switches in the Corsair one too, technically, but I donā€™t have a soldering gun or the ability to buy the replacement switches. It does seem painfully simple to do though, just shouldnā€™t be an issue for such an expensive mouse. :frowning:

Hopefully if I can get a new mouse and go with Logitech, it lasts longer than a year. I never drop my stuff or anything. I simply use them. lol

That is why I just go with Red Dragon products. Basically the same but half the price and great customer service. The one time I had an issue with one of their products, they sent me another for free and let me keep the original which I ended up fixing.

Do they offer anything with tons of buttons, if you know? I use the extra buttons for my games and macros for programs and writing (opening up specific panes etc). If they do, Iā€™d definitely try them out when I can afford it.

The Microsoft mice used to last forever, but itā€™s been almost twenty years since i bought one from them.

I use the IMPACT M908. Tons of buttons, I use them for most games instead of the keyboard. Has been working great, especially for a $30 mouse.

I ended up in bed. Itā€™s still there but not as bad. When you are my age, you learn to live with certain things. But thanks for the suggestions. :hugs:
