Multiplayer survival crafting games tend to be very good streaming games, they let streamers create their own stories while also giving ample opportunity to interact with their viewers. Their viewers think they want to get in on all that fun stuff and buy the game, the developer gets a huge sudden windfall and figure they can now really create EVERYTHING they ever dreamed about for the game. The project that was meant to spent 3-4 months in early access now will dig itself into a 3-4 years EA process which will eventually stagnate with nothing being truly finished as the audience moves on to something else and changes they make alienates parts of the ācommunityā each time.
Although looking at it, it does look like it could be pretty good. Will have to see what itās like when finished though.

Long story short , mine and other 110,000 people personal data was leaked to online by hackers this weekend through breaking into a local car renting service servers .
A lot of fuss is happening now , people panicking , getting ready to sue the company , company keeps on changing list of data which was leaked , people actually contacting the hacker/hackers who did this to clarify what data was leaked ( it seems that way more and way more sensitive data was leaked according to the leakers than in official statement) ā¦ and so on.
I just changed all my passwords everywhere , put mobile phone authentications everywhere i could and am following what is going to happen next generally.
I feel like a huge shitstorm is brewing over this, people are already reporting getting ridiculous amounts of spam and random phone calls from other side of the globe.
Personally i dont care too much about spam and calls, but someone faking my identity is concerning.
Thereās also a possibility that full info of drivers license there leaked as well meaning anyone could fake my identity with that.
Valheim is quite amazing, been playing it for over a week and we totally love it. Iād say a big reason it is doing so well is that fact this is a PVE RPG game instead of the usual PvP your whole base gets destroyed type of game. Also it runs extremely well and has a very unique art style. There is tons of content and the progression is nice and slow without being boring. The map is also huge so there is tons to explore. It really is an amazing game, especially since it has only been in EA for 2 weeks.
This one actually didnāt sell because of streamers. You can look at the streamer numbers and they have been pretty low while sales are soaring. This is not a PvP game so it isnāt as streamer friendly as most survival games tend to be. They also already had their roadmap up so I am curious if they try to do more with the popularity or hold to their original plans.
I definitely disagree with that. This game has consistently been streamed by quite big streamers (CohhCarnage, from example, among many others) from the very day it launched, which ofc must have hugely contributed to the sales numbers, as it always does.
yeah that may be a decent number of views but still nothing compared to other survival PvP games like Ark and Rust which have a way higher peak than Valheim. Which is quite funny because Valheim has blown away their concurrent player count on Steam. So again IMO streaming did not alone cause the sales, more so just the type of game it is, the price, and the amazing reviews it is getting.
Well i did what i could though really shitty part of this is that for the rest of my life i will never be a completely private person again. I can change my drivers license , i could change my ID CARD , even my name but i cant change my national identification number. So that part is pretty depressing to me.

One good thing I can say about Twitch is that my daughter who began streaming less than a month ago, already has enough followers that she was required to become an affiliate. Sheās happy and to me thatās what matters.
Note: I donāt know & I didnāt ask how many followers are needed to become an affiliate. It wasnāt important. I just handed over the bank account information and said āHave Funā. I got my very first laptop from there. My daughter did also. I offer items, mostly books, and in December I offer things I have sewn for children and families who post asking for help. In all honesty I need to say I used to. My embroidery machine is now broken and I will never have the funds needed to replace it, so most of what I did for charity, about 90% of my embroidery, quilting, clothes making and sewing I can no longer do. The machine is too old to get parts for so I canāt even get it fixed.
Freecycle is a worldwide organization, open to anyone who wants to keep items out of the landfills. They were around before we began hearing the words āclimate changeā.
In the group I belong to anyone within a 50 mile radius of a group listed can join it. Some people will deliver the item to you if you canāt pick it up, as Iāve had people do for me. But each group sets itās own rules and another group will have different requirements.
If my laptop died Iād be in the same situation as you. I would of course try Freecycle using my daughterās desktop but I canāt afford to buy another one. My laptop is where I read, where all my contacts are from casual to treasured friends. I canāt go out of my home, even rarely could I when we didnāt have Covid due to health issues.
There is help out there. Iāve even had to go the rental route which is a horrible rip-off but is necessary for sanity. I only kept it long enough to find a replacement on Freecycle. I did learn while searching for an affordable rental that the first thing to do with a rental once you get it home is to tape over the camera opening. The men in the store like to activate the cam and watch what you are doing. Creeps they are.
About the stimulus, Iām not sure why you donāt expect anything but there are new rules Biden has put into place.
A friend of mine found out that even though she didnāt receive any the first time due to her being a dependent adult, she will be receiving a check the next time they send them out, mid March is what I heard.
