only 2 levels away from lvl 10, i should have the nice lookin badge tomorrow or the day after
but agree completely on the look,
-wish steam would allow us to chose our own badge icon when multiple have been unlocked
So are all these levels just for bragging rights?? Just like the Steam Levels? You can’t buy a steak or anything…
Cool, I just hijacked my own thread…
i think it depends on the person
to me i just wanted to get steam lvl 60 for another dumb profile customization option, since i was close enough anyways. (don’t think i’m gonna opt for 70)
but when i saw the steam awards badge icon for the lvl 10, i decided to go for the lvl 10 badge over my current, since i prefer that next icon
i rarely lvl my “free” badges higher than the freebie cards allow, but i do use all my freebie cards, since i got them sold so rarely in the past before expiration/gem crush date anyway…
and i don’t bother much with regular badges, unless i happen to get a full set my way via booster or dupes, cba spending time trading up to make a badge(not _ that_ much interested in the xp bonus), or for profit, not worth the time/hassle to me
but it’s free cards, so i might as well use them “somehow” to get something to play around with
other people i assume do it for bragging rights(high/highest lvl really matter to some lol), or they just really dig the profile customization option stuff
-or don’t care about the “cost”, one way or another, i guess
in the end it’s just bling in some form , probably not very useful for most things, not like it excludes you from many places if not lvling up
which is why i’m gonna guess most people prefer to sell them and get those 2-6cents
Personally I just keep my eye on the Steam Booster pack drop % changes. Which means only increments of 10 matter. I tend to sell every foil I have, high value cards which I have no intention of collecting, cards in sets which have 10 or more to collect and general junk. Other than that I do the same as Gnuffi and just trade within sets to create complete collections. I think it’s probably generally sensible to do a little of both - sell some stuff to bolster your steam wallet for free, and build your steam level to boost your booster chances and profile customisation options.
Indeed I plan to stay on 5, I want the doggo.
Is steam still limiting max sales of cards to 200 a year? Maxed out last year and thought making and selling gem bags might be better?
no clue, like i said, i don’t bother trying to sell cards anymore(haven’t in a looong while), without an automated process setup it’s simply just not worth the time imo
much like bending over and picking up a penny nowadays, your precious seconds are better spent elsewhere
The only relevant information I can find is in the FAQ.
Why am I being asked to provide tax information?
The United States Internal Revenue Service, under Section 6050W of the Internal Revenue Code, requires us to collect certain information from you if you engage in more than 200 separate sales transactions in a calendar year. In particular, if you are a U.S. citizen or resident, you will need to provide us with your name, address and Social Security Number, and if you are not a U.S. citizen or resident, you will need to provide evidence of your non-U.S. status on an online form we provide to you. We will be providing a link to these forms and a process by which you can provide the needed information if and as you approach the 200 sales limit. We may use a third-party to collect this information. You can choose not to provide this information if you wish, but you will not be able to list any items for sale in the Community Market once you meet the 200 sales threshold, and any items listed will be removed. Note that, while we are required to collect this information from you, we are not required to share this information with the IRS under Section 6050W unless you exceed $20,000 in gross sales in the Community Market within a single calendar year. For purposes of calculating the number of sales you have made in a calendar year, all of your accounts will be treated as a single account.
scroll down to the tax and 200 item limit section,
just “fill out the form” if you ever hit the limit it seems, or if non-us citizen, either way should be pretty straight forward despite hitting 200 sales it appears
Trying to use STM but it feels like I am missing something. It shows trades I am happy with, but when I click on trade a window pops up and then I need to manually search for and select the cards. Am I missing an obvious step here?
you can use scripts etc
i prefer the manual trade window search (stm list the card by name there are duplicates off for easy search), as i’m not tech savy enough to make my own “stuff”, or confirm other’s(way too paranoid)
but there should be plenty of “tools” avail for auto trades if trusting or handy enough around that tech stuff, (i think asf can too, unsure tho since i’m not very smart/“advanced” with scripts etc beyond the auto basic idle setup)
Thank you so much for this information, I had no idea these simple trading bots were a thing.
Auto script worked well. Thanks!
This is a great idea Feel free to add me if you want to!
Maybe we could play something together like Armello, Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed, Talisman, Worms etc.
happy new years all!
slaut!
skål
Happy New Year!
umm, the odd one out is the hippo?
Spoilers for the answer to the picture
It’s Hippo Gnu Deer (Happy New Year)
lol thank you!
i was looking at it and thinking stuff like
"is this a meme i don’t know?,
(inside) joke -that i don’t get?,
“that went over my head -orbital lvls 9001”
(early “good” sign of my brain power for this year to come -most needed spoiler 2018)
