Raffle 6: Gaming Gold

Good luck to everyone entering, and a thank you to @ohko for running this raffle :+1:

I’m going to say my game is Chrono Trigger. It was the first game I remember being excited to come home from school to play and beat and get all those endings (and started me as a lifelong RPG fan)

And I’ll enter for:

The game I most probably have a strong connection to should be Team Fortress 2 due to the nostalgia of all the great matches with friends that are probably going to be only lived once.

Glhf  I hope I win!

Honestly, I’m not really one for emotional connections to things. I do appreciate how excited and happy Jebediah Kerman is during launch though, if that counts.

Edit: Ha, could have saved myself some typing by copy and pasting @PeteMcc’s post!

Thanks for the raffle @ohko!

I did miss the last raffle just due to me not feeling all that up to really anything. But this time I’m in!

The game I have a strong connection to is Duke Nukem 3d. Ever since I got the game I fell absolutely in love with it and I also started to get into other FPS games just because they are just so freaking fun and the modding for Duke 3d just keeps giving more and more content and more reason to keep playing the game. Same thing with the modding for original Doom and Doom 2 which just keeps me coming back for more. The modding communities really put a lot of heart and soul into those games and I know they will keep adding more content to keep those amazing games alive.

Thanks for the raffle!

A game I have very fond memories of is the original Space Quest, an adventure game I used to play as a kid. Quirky and funny, got me interested in sci-fi.

Thank you for a giveaway!

Flower has always meant so much to me. I was in a dark place and one of my friend’s told me to try Journey and Flower. Something about the flow and music just really struck a cord deep down. I was elated to see how it was finally released for Steam since I really don’t play on my PS3 anymore!

TMNT for NES. I remember the sense of pride for finally beating that game as a kid. The Technodrome was so horrible!!! Stupid spacemen flying around just ripping into my poor turtles health pools! It was one of the first games I beat as a kid, and I’ll always remember that moment.

Thank you for another raffle  I think Everquest would be the game I’d have to pick in this circumstance. It’s more about looking back at realizing how far MMORPGs have come and it’s kind of awesome to have been able to play something like that when it was first around. Granted, I tried P99 and couldn’t even get to level 5 after hours. But I love that nostalgic feeling of knowing, HEY I TRAINED TO ZONE.

Yall are too kind as always!

Snafu for the Intellivision . Growing up and being the youngest, I had to wait my turn to play games. And for some reason I just loved Snafu. It might have been the colors or the music , I don’t know . But it’s one of my CLEAR gaming memories of always asking an adult to put the cartridge in so I can play that game. I guess it’s one of my earlier memories of needing to depend on someone since I was too stupid to figure out how to get the game in. Either way, I still catch myself humming the different songs here and there lol.

there are several games which i feel strongly about, and the reasons are quite different…

one of them is diablo 2. first of all that game is a classic, and is one of the best arpgs ever. the atmosphere is amazing and the story is great. its just one of those games my friend and i discovered in a pc playroom at that time (dunno if its the right name, but back in early 2000s we had these places where you’d go and pay to play pc for an hour, similar to arcades but not quite, all of those pcs were connected over lan, and it was great times.

most of the times we didnt have money tho but wed just come there and watch others play, and thats where we saw an older guy playing that game and just watched for hours asking questions. later on we got the game and i remember we were playing in turns, 1 level each or something like that. it was just a perfect game in a perfect time of my life. we played this game for years down the road…

some other games i feel strongly about are the old dos games. when i was even younger (preschool and 1st grade) my father bought a pc 386 for my mother to work on. and i remember i was rarely allowed on that thing for an hour or two max at a time. my father thought me how to enter games through dos, or norton commander and it was just magical. the whole thing. i even loved just goofing around in norton commander. even though the games were beautiful themselves back then, i think that time of my life was even more beautiful than the games. even more magical.

i remember them all like it was yesterday, still play some occasionally. where in the world is carmen sandiego, the incredible machine, captain keen, halloween harry, the dune. THE DUNE MAN, maybe my favorite game of all times (maybe this game is the reason i love deserts, who knows…). titus the fox, dangerous dave 1 and 2, raptor call of shadows, pinball fantasies, battle bugs and many more. oh man those were the days, and some games.
lol, this talk made me wanna go back now…

thanks for the giveaway and gl guys!!!

There are two games that I’ll never forget and will always love and keep close to my heart. First one is Battlefield Bad Company 2. This game was my first war game. I was 8 years old when I got it. I played the crap out of that game. I beat the singleplayer about 5 times before I discovered that my PS3 could connect to the internet then I played even more online. To this day I’ve beaten the game about 12 times. This game was an awesome take on the Battlefield franchise, with a comedic singleplayer story, awesome and well balanced multiplayer, and just overall fun. You don’t see gameplay as good as this game anymore in the new battlefield games. I’m really hoping all these bad company 3 rumors are true. Anyway, the next game is Skyrim. This was another game I played a ton of. I’ve at this point probably clocked in almost 3k hours across PS3, 4 and PC. I used to always go to around level 90 and restart. I’ve made so. many characters a bunch of them were super minor like this one character that I had named Skenvar. He was a wood elf who would only chop wood. I took the race name a little to literally. But my little chile min found it entertaining. This is another game that I’ll never forget and will always be close to my heart.

Only going to enter for the one. Not really interested in the others.

Heey, thanks for organizing another raffle, and thanks to all the donators involved! I’ll try this one, maybe I’m lucky.
I just realized I own almost all of the other games, so I hope it’s okay if I bet all my 15 tickets on Everspace.

Also, I’d be happy to donate a key or two for the next raffle, I still got so many in store from Humble and Fanatical that would appreciate a loving home in a fellow Chronie’s Steam library
