I hope it’s the ultimate edition, but usually Humble only gives out the standard editions of games.
Truth right there.
Did NOT used to be back in 2010.
ye, unfortunately they have a habit of somehow swinging old/“outdated” standard editions despite no longer being sold
-really hoping its not the case this time, but hence my previous remarks/jokes
it makes sense though cuz the big publishers probably only participate so they can make actual money off of DLC
otherwise, why would AAA games even put their game in a bundle like that where they barely get anything out of it per copy
doesn’t make sense for games where you can’t even buy those dlc “individually” any more - because the old version got updated with a complete
Either way, I am hoping for the ultimate edition for the Steam key, so we shall see.
Completely agree
while i would agree, seeing the steamdb depot changes, I have a lurking suspicion that it will be the standard edition.
Not trying to be a partypooper, just putting this out there so that people dont get false hopes. Not to mention that they would have probably specified it if we were getting the Ultimate Edition.
That’s okay, we will find out really soon, I will have to think about pausing or not if it’s not the ultimate edition though, I would be disappointed, but it won’t be the end of the world.
The Ultimate Edition has been available on Steam since August 2020 and is the only version available to purchase there. Now because of this Humble Choice they’re going to add the Standard Edition, 7 months later!
But this is not surprising. After all this is 505 Games publishing. They’re the ones that screw the console players by saying that if they wanted to have Control for PS5/Series S|X, they’d have to buy the Ultimate Edition to get the free upgrade, otherwise they couldn’t do it for those who had the standard one.
I’m really interested in playing X-Com: Chimera Squad, but keep missing sales. I’ve finally set up an ITAD alert, but if anyone doesn’t want it or already has it, please let me know.
Thanks.
Did I mention you are all awesome
Making a new post here to let you all know that my issue from 5 days ago has finally been solved.
They replied to me earlier today and told me that they usually don’t reset claimed choices, but made an exception after I explained the situation to them in detail. Afterwards, I was able to redeem the new keys for both games with no issue whatsoever (and hopefully I won’t run into this kind of issue again in the future).
After taking a closer look at the rest of the games for March, they’re things that I’d be willing to try out. Maybe I’ll end up liking one of them a lot. Kinda forgot somehow that Pesterquest was a Homestuck visual novel, though I didn’t know that Peaky Blinders was based on a TV show under the same name. The description on Steam says that it’s based on Season 1 of the show, but does anyone know if you have to watch it first to be able to understand the game? Unless it’s one of those that can be enjoyed without knowing the source material.
Control standard edition is now available to be purchased on Steam, through the Ultimate Edition page:

I think this puts to rest the doubt that Humble will be giving the standard edition on their next Humble Choice.
That’s good to hear. Humble used to be really good about helping people.
I will be getting March’s offerings, I think.
POG move, not a fan, though I guess we all saw it coming…
Pile of Garbage?
Pissed off Gamer?
Plain old greedy?
First one… it’s typically what I think of with that acronym…
LOL!
This teaches me a lesson about needing to be clear about things…
LOL = Laugh out loud… not Little old lady…
Sorry for going off topic…
Well…afaic it will still be pretty solid deal , even with regular version
