Happy Father's Day Giveaway(Closed! Winners Notified!)

So stick around. We have a lot of giveaways here among the members plus what we post from the net that we find.

Thanks for the giveaways!
I’d like to win Bastion, I’ve wanted it for a long time now

My dad is a geek (though he pronouces this word “djik” - he’s really bad in English) and musician. In the early nineties he and my uncle (who was not my uncle at the time, just my dad’s friend, then my dad married my mom and his friend married her sister :D) were making music on Cubase software, and honestly it still sounds good today.
He always loved computers and made me play children CD-roms very early. I’m pretty sure my love for computers and technology comes from him.
My dad is now 52 (since June 17th, one day before father’s day :D), but he’s a Linux geek and open-source software fan. He often sends me mails about new software he found out and he often tries to convice me to switch to Linux, selling its numerous advantages to me like “Oh, but you can even play video games on Linux with Wine!”, and every time we debate about this kind of things! Also he loves to brag about how he did things in command line on Linux, like scanning documents with a command xD
My dad is a really funny person, I often thought he’d make a nice character for a novel. He has weird beliefs that seems to be a mix of a lot obscure religions, he’s vegan and he often watches videos about why the aliens built the egyptian pyramids on YouTube. His humour is the so-bad-it’s-good kind, and he LOVES telling jokes involving Harry Potter (he read it more times than the whole family has, although I’ve read it many times myself and we’re a family of six). He’s always distracted, a trait I heavily inherited from him - he’s so distracted that one day, he sold our old, barely working car for €150, when my mother told him to sell it for €500. My dad doesn’t care about the way he looks and wears socks with sandals (yes, he really does that) and clothes he’s had for like 30 years, unless he has to go to a concert, then he wears suits (that really changes him!). Oh, and he also talks to himself all the time.
I’m very thankful to him and my mother because although I’m a girl, they raised me and my three brothers exactly the same way. He never thought it was weird for me loving computers and video games, climbing to trees, playing viking Playmobils and hating Barbies, not wanting to wear makup and hating dresses. He just supported and accepted me as a person my whole life and for this I think he’s a great dad.

Happy (late) fathers day to all and thanks for the giveaway!

@Enki added some extra criteria in bold(IOW–just someone who gave you fatherly advice)… and there is no participation rules about other giveaways. BTW…cute gif.

@Primoedu So…you aren’t entering? Nothing is stopping you from entering.

I’d like Octodad and Jumpjet Rex but I want Bastion more :frowning:

Eets Munchies

At school once in a demo sociology class, our teacher was talking about how people say “I love you” without really meaning it, and asked the question, “When was the last time you genuinely said ‘I love you’ to your parents?” This teacher doesn’t usually set any homework, but he decided to this time. The homework was to say, “I love you” to either of your parents (preferably both), and tell the class their reaction the next time we had that lesson. So we did, and when everyone started saying their parents’ reactions, most of them went along the lines of the parents (particularly fathers) saying “What do you want now?” Funnily enough, my father’s reaction was nothing like that. When I said that I loved him for working hard all day everyday to keep me and my siblings wearing clothes and off the streets, for providing food on the table, and for trying his best to give us a good life, I remember quite clearly that he gave a simple “You’re welcome.” and the day continued as any other day.

You have approximately 4 more hours before I closed this…Good luck to all.And to think Bastion was an afterthought.

So I decided to suddenly ask to enter for Eets Muchies.

Bastion I’m not sure about and Octodad is a frustrating game

And Jumpjet Rex, not sure

Octodad is a very relaxing game, if you’re an octopus yourself.

I had a great time reading all your stories and memories. Had a really hard time figuring out winners for Bastion and Eets. I read them to my husband(He enjoyed them too.) and then I rechecked profiles and how you had decorated them and I actually came down to counting badges etc to get a winner. Some one even sent me a PM through Steam for JumpJet Rex because they were embarrassed about their story

Thank you so much for participating and we will have more…for sure!
