Square Enix at E3
Well, that was disappointing.
A few more clips of KH and nothing else. I did enjoy seeing the Twilight Town kids again though and I canât tell you how much I look forward to seeing Roxas again. I like KH you guysâŚ
I always wanted to play that series but I never manage to get a copy of it, hereâs hoping they do at least a re-release for other platforms seeing as they are expanding the franchise, but judging the way they do things it may never happen.
If you have a PS4 itâs the best way to get most of the story, I would still recommend playing Days on DS in addition to the collection games though. Or you could just emulate all the games just fine.
Just bear in mind that you will either love or hate it, KH is really dumb, really edgy and just very hit or miss.
I donât have a PS4, and Iâll have to wait for a while in order for me to be able to emulate a PS2.
On the games, Iâm very patient with a lot of them, so as long as they are fair and the controls reliable I wonât have a problem with whatever mechanics they throw at me.
The only thing I may end up hating is the story, or to be precise the part between Sora and Kairi, I just hate when they keep characters separated because of âplotâ, it makes the story unbearable to me, regardless of how justifiable it is, it was my major grievance with FFXV and Skyward Sword.
Super Butter Buns made a video just for somebody like you, like a month ago. Very informative, explains the way you should go through the mainseries and why in that order. But, the video is more about you getting to know the lore and preparing for KH3.
Advance with caution.
Seriously hoping Square just threw their big boy games to Sony. I mean, Babylonâs Fall is already gold with Platinum games making it and The Quiet Man looked neat too.
Well Ubisoft is in an hour and thatâs always a mixed bag. Still excited though.
The Division trailer makes me think itâs same old Ubi. Oh, and Beyond Good & Evil 2 is the single most atrocious, volatile pile of s___ ârebootâ Iâve seen since DmC: Emo May Cry.
Still interested in what they may have VR wise, but their marketing is as shady as ever if their super-faked Division 2 trailer is anything to go by.
EA was a shitshow. Microsoft was alright, not much interesting content but it kept the games coming without much fluff, Bethesda had DOOM so itâs a 10/10 for me.
Iâm gonna tune into Ubisoftâs conference. I usually donât care about them but the conference is sure to be pretty weird. Iâm also pretty excited for what Sonyâs got up their sleeve. The REAL show doesnât start till the 12th and I canât fuckinâ wait for that!
Take the first Division game as an example, the same whole affair once again.
@HouGuard Hmm, I might watch that later on, it may prove useful, I did expect more from Squeenix thou, Iâll have to wait for SONY to see if they show more from Enix.
DUDE. WE GOT DEVIL MAY CRY 5 AND GEARS 5, AND AN XCOM STYLE GEARS PREQUEL.
Iâm sorry, Microsoftâs conference was amazing imo. The Division 2 looks pretty bland even when theyâre faking trailers though, canât imagine itâs much better somehow for real.
@Inferry I was really just talking about the new Division. Weâre not talking about a downgrade or anything, but a target render to begin with. They shouldnât be showing something that clearly isnât gameplay, and slapping a fake HUD on it. It really strikes me the wrong way.
Iâm just gonna pass on Ubi. Let me know if Rayman shows up I guess.
They did the same thing with the first game mate, scripted sequences, cringy people pretending to play like if others would, itâs a clear precedent on why the Div2 should not be taken at a first glance.
What annoys me is that the game didnât look too far off from what the actual game should look like. The Division didnât look half bad on its own merit, and the sequel showing didnât even look that much better. Why did they feel the need to fake gameplay when everyone knows what The Division will play like? Itâs not like they were showing a SINGLE THING different from the first one. This was just about the new environment, the new enemies, and so on.
Talk about an unimpressive and needlessly deceptive trailer. ALL WE NEEDED WAS THE TYPICAL CINEMATIC FLAIR. End on the storyboards they showed about DC and civil war or something (just as forgettable as the first gameâs plot tbh), or show a few brief glimpses of the environment, just a FEW SECONDS of gameplay at a time, show the enemies⌠donât lie to us and say itâs the final game, because itâs not.
Most importantly, if youâre going to lie, tell a convincing one. Donât half-ass it and embarrass yourselves.
For me, the best games they had were Ori 2, Sekiro, and Cuphead DLC. I loved Cuphead and Ori, and more of those is always welcome! The new From Software game looks really cool too! Other than that, there wasnât too much that interested me personally.
But seriously, the real highlight of the conference was the Gears of War Funko Pop mobile game
Yeah⌠Thats some dreaminâ alright.
Iâll yell it, if we land in that timeline.
Ubisoft: Boy the cringe was strong with this one, an interesting bunch of games, nothing overly great, but nothing really bad either.
Odyssey was an interesting one, it doesnât look like an AC game anymore.
Division 2, more of the same really.
For Honor, download now is free!
For the new rabbits game, I expect the same
And of course Beyond G&E 2, Iâm interested in that one, I never really liked the first one that much, but it looks like fun.
well, neither did the last one, and I guess it makes them better games, seems like theyâre pretty good action rpgâs; i actually feel like playing them maybe
Overall alright conference.
Free for honor now invaded by china, with Guan yu lookalike is the highlight for me.
Well in 10 minutes is PC gaming show⌠Is anybody gonna see that? Talk shows are just so not for me.
And in three hours is Da big one, Sony.
Sadly, this is the one i miss. Sleep is for the weak and thatâs me.
