This is a bit of an odd one and you probably won’t know of it unless you live in some place like Europe.
I just love how incredibly charming the whole Asterix & Obelix franchise is, especially with this one having some dumb fun with all types of different video game characters.

I’ll try to post something more recent, even tho not really my favourite movie licensed game ever, but surprisingly good and more so considered the source material: the last movie from The mummy franchise, yes the terrible film starring Tom Cruise.

Well, the game is The mummy - demastered, developed by WayForward. Check it out, it’s a neat metroidvania, a real surprise.

Not sure if they count as they aren’t really direct “film → video game” type titles, but I lost huge amount of hours to the Batman Arkham series. Well, the ones by rocksteady anyways. That fourth one by another company… not so much.

I am surprised no one has said Spiderman 2 for PS2, never played it myself, but I always hear about it for the swinging physics.

Oh my I used to play so many of these harry potter games on my family pc I believe it was the ones based on the first 4 movies/books and the quidditch one you mentioned yourself.
Edit: was reading from bottom to top didnt realise Kalotan mentioned these games so thanks to you both for reminding me these games exsist.

I played that one, and yep the swinging is still memorable (it took a while to get used to, working as you might expect in real life). Although I thought some of the boss battles were irksome…the Dr Octopus one stands out in my memory for being irritating.
