Is that the weapon(?) boss in the water/ocean?
I seem to remember that battle as one hour of knights of the nine.
Might have mis-rememberd everything, a few years since that game came out.

Yes, it was in the ocean. I think you walked from the beach into the sea - and got your whole party demolished repeatedly

I have so many great memories from that game. We would be a whole gang playing the game together, passing around the controller. But by myself i allways end up feeling they become too long and tedious. I know the new versions let you skip random battles, so maybe i give it a try sometime.
