The only issue with Valheim is that there’s not a lot to do with concerning bosses and world exploration. They need to add more things around the world for players to return to, you know, a purpose to keep playing when you have felled all of the bosses. Beyond that, the game is a lot of fun, but unless you got $ to spare or it is on sale, I would definitely recommend waiting until it finalizes more.
nevah. They lied! You can’t ride the griffons or dragons. >< T_T. Like the other recommends.
Actually you can, but it’s not gonna be a jolly ride! The harpies give rides for free as well.
Just don’t agree that Valheim doesn’t have much to do. Our first play through was at about 200 hours, that more than justifies the $20 purchase for a brand new EA game that will just improve over time. They will add tons of stuff, they just need more time. Game has only been out for 3 months, they need time to create the expansions, hire more employees, etc… Only mention this as so many people are complaining their expansions aren’t out yet, thinking money somehow magically means they should instantly have more good employees and weekly content updates.
After you beat the bosses, there isn’t anything to do but build/decorate or explore, which becomes pointless after the bosses. I myself have 80 hours in it, but after me and my friends beat all the bosses, we stopped. Because we didn’t want to burn ourselves out on a game that didn’t offer anything else just yet beyond building and a few bosses.
As it is now, I cannot recommend it unless you have the money to spare. It’s a great game still, I love it, but it’s the same way I wouldn’t have recommended early versions of many now successful early access games. Most people find $20 a considerable amount of money, and I would help them understand the truer state of a game before committing that hard earned cash.

And I’m not one of those people, so you don’t need to bring that up to me.
Subnautica: Below Zero just left early access.
I’m not sure how buggy it is though, I know the first Subnautica had a lot of buggy vehicle physics from personal experience. I just hope they managed to fix those problems in this game.

I really enjoyed the first game, and highly recommend it to anyone else, so I’m definitely going to pick up Below Zero when it goes on sale.
From what I hear it failed to measure up to the original, steam recommendations are full of “It’s still a good game but… (great lists of ways in which the first game was better) still if you didn’t play the first one you’ll enjoy this game”
There also seems to have been people fired for political reasons half ways through resulting in this broken state further deters me from wanting to buy it. I think I’d rather keep the precious memories the first game gave me than tarnish them with a subpar followup made by people who didn’t understand what the first one did right.
Of course no game has to be perfect to be enjoyable, but if you’re making a sequel then I think the least we can ask for is that you measure up to if not improve on what came before.

although it’s kind of a troll-y game, it looks pretty fun (NL loves this game, for example), is ridiculously cheap, and sits at very positive reviews on Steam
@carvalho20ptc bought this and I checked it out. Will probably get. Cheap sale.
It’s on your WL, @joxter and @markwr
OOPs…Forgot the link…Thanks @carvalho20ptc
Which game it is ?
Oh, Tiny Troopers. I’ve been wanting to buy this for a while. I had to sell some stuff before getting it, though. Looks fun enough.
Fixed it.
Steam’s Halloween Sale is on going everyone! Here are some games on sale I’d say are worth picking up, while this cheap!
Super long post
The best Star Wars game narrative since KOTOR, it’s a blast. It isn’t the longest video game ever, but with all of the side things you can do and collect, it beefs the time up. However, the strong story delivered by an incredible cast of actors is worthy every penny! And now it is only $18!

Loop Hero is a game I got to play a bit on my friend’s GOG. It is a ton of fun…if you know what you are getting. I’ve met people who didn’t realize it is, in fact, a giant looping game. If that’s your thing, this repeating adventure full of great graphics, amazing music and a nice little story, this is a steal at this price.
Now this one is a bit trickier to recommend. I love the game but it’s not a lot of fun playing by yourself. At least, not in my opinion. This great vast and beautiful world feels lonely when it’s just you. lol however, if you got friends or who don’t care about MP, I recommend it. It’s got GREAT combat, tons of ways to build and play your own way (builds). You can basically just turn this into a “live in the woods/desert/jungle” simulator as well. lol
One of the best action games I’ve played yet. Now with all the bugs and stuff hammered out of it, now is a perfect time to grab it. You get to play Fashion Hunter while you hunt down and battle fierce some creatures, either alone or with some friends.
Monster Hunter: World on Steam
Valheim. A minecraft-meets-Skyrim sort of game. It’s still being updated though, so if you don’t like games that aren’t finished yet, skip it. However, I burned 90 hours on this when it came out and had to FORCE myself to stop playing so I’d have hundreds of hours more content when the rest of the updates reach us. You can build your own home (whatever that is, castle or longhouse or hut or mansion), fish, cook and farm, sail the open seas, mine, log, craft or just relax in a beautiful world of incredible music. Or go fight those insane bosses. lol
Now here’s the heaviest hitter on here, I think. A three part series telling a wonderful story that lets you craft how you proceed through it, even how you end it. It is one of my absolute favorite games and one of my favorite stories told. This series really left an impression on me and I recommend it all of the time, but now with this wonderful remaster series, it’s even better.

I’ll wait for the Autumn Sale to buy games, so I’ll skip this one.
Thanks anyway, @Rhyagelle!
They are having quite the sale. Can’t beat this price for Pillar’s Was Can$37.04 and I paid Can$3.69
I looked at it and then remembered I got “Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth” on Epic on 04/15/21 and since many of us did, I thought I’d mention that reminder so folks don’t pay for a second copy.
Good memory. I had forgotten that but no matter, I got it.
I still have to install the Epic game managler…LOL Having it on the Epic Platform is just gravy.
This thread is very dormant , BUT i have something for you people.
It is currently 3.99 moneyz on steam and for that price it is just a no brainer . I can easily give it my personal recommendation as one of the most complex and rewarding stealth experiences of the last 5 years.
Agreed, it is a great game well worth the asking price, at 90% off its insane. But I’m going to say the last 19 years instead, 2003 being when the last decent Commandos game launched.
It’s on sale and I love water/ocean games…
