Ah, Memes. There’s been a lot of inflation in memes over the years and as with anything when a wider audience engages with what was once an artistic expression of a tiny niche subculture the form both expands and waters down a lot. Today any funny picture on the internet is called a meme.
The point of memes is to repeat a message or an idea in a variety of ways, or using one particular way to showcase different messages. The amusement of them comes from recognizing the pattern between them. So how good are old memes if you don’t post the full context of their creation? Lets see.
Though if we’re talking old memes then of course I need to post the grand daddy of them all.
