These are the questions that keep me up at night!
So far most of the games I’ve wanted remakes more are coming out or already have: Ducktales, Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded, Secret of Mana, Dark Souls, etc. But what about the ones we need!

Syndicate, Syndicate wars.
Satellite Reign tried to make a similar game but fell just a little short of the Bullfrog brilliance the original titles had on display. Still a good game in it’s own right still.
DuckTales, Castle of Illusion, Nights Into Dreams, and Jet Set Radio were some of my favorite recent remakes. Just learned yesterday that Dark Souls is being remastered, so there’s another one to scratch off the list.
Personally, I would love to see remakes/remastered versions of Viewtiful Joe, Katamari Damacy, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and the original Final Fantasy Tactics. I know FFT has been remastered on PSP (or was it Vita ) and mobile, but I want a remake on PC. I also wouldn’t mind remastered versions of Trauma Center and Eternal Sonata on PC.
Vagrant Story, Metal Gear Solid, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.
Red Dead Redemption 4K Remake for PC.
Castlevania SOTN and Chrono Trigger does not need remastering, in my opinion. They are still great the way they are. Thanks to their strong aesthetics, art styles and limited technical aspects the have aged incredibly well. The only thing you might possibly want to do is make them run natively on a few more devices but you can emulate them close to perfectly on mostly any PC.
And that’s not just nostalgia speaking, I’ve played them both within modern memory.
I came here to say exactly that - the original Syndicate blew my little mind when it was released. I’d LOVE to see a proper up to date sequel in the same style (not some mediocre FPS that decided to tarnish the Syndicate name by putting it on its box). So much want. So much need.
Battlefront 2.
The good one.
Would you believe I got Dark Forces in a bundle but have never played it. Now I’ve seen it nominated here, I’m gonna remedy that
Lol Yes! I can’t believe they don’t have a PC port
I would love to see Demon’s Souls get a remake/PC port sometime in the future. I’m a Dark Souls lover, and so playing one of the early games would be great.
I am hoping they remedy that very soon. I have a feeling that they are going to port RDR 2 to PC within a shorter time window (than with GTA V’s port) after it hits consoles and before they do, they release RDR slightly earlier, maybe by 6 months.
It is a feeling based entirely on nothing, mind you.
I could tattoo this on my back any day. I’m a PC gamer so, among other things, I NEVER got to play Red Dead Redemption.
“But don’t you have cool friends with conso-” YES I DO OKAY. But before I was too shy/awkward/dumb to ask and now we’re all older and busier and life’s unfair and… ):
Anyway,
I need a HD PC port of The Curse of Monkey Island before someone gets violently shot on the skull. (:
And before anyone asks, no. I’ll never shut up about that game.
Final Fantasy 8
it needs to be lengthened too, its too short. such a beautiful world, story and characters…
Secret ranks as one of my favourite games of all time, and is literally part of my soul, and LeChuck’s Revenge comes a close but belated second. However, because of the change in art style, and the way Revenge finished, I’ve never played Curse…I didn’t want to end up disappointed.
Am I deluding myself?
You’re going to need DarkXL. And even with it it’s sadly unfinishable due to bugs. It’s a good game, but if you haven’t played the sequel, Jedi Knight, then you’re really missing out.
That was in the bundle too! Looks like I’ve got me some catching up to do
Universe. It was a point & click game on Amiga1200 (& other Amiga, without the AGA).
Great game, extremely good music. Would definitely like to see a proper remake of this.
Perhaps Alien Breed 3D 1 & 2. Again, they’re from the Amiga.
Hmm, Nightlong: Union city conspiracy. That was on Amiga & pc too if I recall.
Simply put, you should play it. It oozes charm, and has all the best things that made the Monkey Island series such a classic – plus amazing artwork and voice acting to top it of.
PM me if you decide to play it.
