There are a bunch of good titles available to play for free this weekend:
Plus there are some arbitrary trophies, not sure what they do, but maybe someone will know.

Well I’ve cleared the trophies out and got 4 emoticons, a mystery box and a very bland wallpaper. I suppose it’s nice of steam to point out that we have an awful lot of games just sitting around unplayed rather than urging us to buy more, but I’m not entirely sure what the point of this is going to be.
I guess so… Great minds think alike…
Well, that’s something for me to check out later at least. I am curious what I get…
Sweet! I am not really looking forward to it. Free Exp is always welcome!
@Gnuffi, I don’t know who posted it first, do you?
^yup
guess i spent too long time “editing”, as usual
disclaimer, yours wasn’t posted when i began writing mine, otherwise i wouldn’t have double posted like that ofc
That’s the difference, I just copied the link and slapped it there…
You being so careful with your words, leading to the double… I sat on mine for a little while too, but didn’t know what to say, so I left it simple…
Finally a Steam event I actually feel like participating on.
alright, it’s been a while since the last time, but Steam is doing another “event”/thingy
“play games” -get a badge (and some random inventory stuff/emotes it appears)
anyways, have fun dusting off your library
Come on valve why must you make me wait to finish the tasks. I’d be willing to do them all in one go.
meh, probably something that made (weird) sense in their minds… “keep coming back”-marketing
i’m more curious about this:
It could even be a boat!
Someone call brad pitt i’m sure he knows what’s in the box.
Or Justin Timberlake… This joke isn’t too off color for the forums is it?
I guess I will know if this post gets flagged to oblivion.
I don’t like this event. I have slow internet so to get the tasks complete, i have to wait hours for the “qualifying” games to download. 500 KB/s… I don’t mind them trying to encourage people to play games we “forgot” about but it’s really inconsiderate toward people with slow internet.
just for the people that isn’t aware of this “trick”:
you don’t have to download a game to get this, you can use something like a steam idler program, idlemaster, ASF, SAM, idle daddy etc etc, and make it run the games needed
Mandatory disclaimer (since i don’t want any flack “should” something happen):
“using an idler “could” pose a theoretical risk to one’s steam account (even if unlikely to happen it), so always use at own risk/willingly -and understanding the use of said tools…”
idle master only idles games from which u can still get steam cards no?
if i remember correctly IM should have some command line that lets your idle a specific game regardless (tho that might be updated/out of date “today”, -couldn’t say for sure)
