nah my nostalgia hype is coming from TBC Classic that was just announced for WoW
I somehow managed not to play a single minute of this game back when it was THE thing.
All my friends in school were super into it and i was like ‘ok’ ,not interested lol.
I think i was grinding MU Online back then…
pretty funny, think i managed to play like a single minute of it and didn’t understand the fuzz
then with WoW i was instantly hooked somehow
Yeah…i remember begging my parents to buy me it and then buy me sub… didint work
Had to play in private servers until i could get some money and go play on legit servers.
I think I was still spending time (not money) toiling around on text-based MUDs back then, intermittent with some offline single-player game, such as Icewind Dale, Baldur’s Gate, etc. I was for a while playing Age of Empires games and Starcraft/Warcraft online matches, but that was pretty much it for my online multiplayer gaming experience back then.
First game I spent a decent amount of money for monthly fees for was FFXI, though I eventually decided that I didn’t want to pay a monthly fee just to keep a couple of characters, even long after I stopped playing. Then I haven’t really use any kind of subscription model since. Humble Bundle not included of course.
They didn’t even talk about WC3 Reforged during BlizzConline, they seem to have learned from that mistake at least. They answered a lot of questions about D2 Remaster, if one wanna get more info about it, but since it’s all not set on stone, indeed we can’t just expect that everything will stay as it is. But from Vicarious Visions, they are very respectful of the original game and don’t want to add things that would alter the original experience, not even a lot of QoL stuff that you would expect.
And speaking of lore, I almost forgot to mention
You don’t even have to watch the D3 gameplay for it, Rhykker got you covered, haha
just saw Lirik play this and damn it looks amazing; it’s EA though and only 1 level is complete (it’s huge and they should make 4 or 5 more though)
kinda has a Supraland vibe to it, but obviously different @Gnuffi
and after playing almost 3h of the Loop Hero demo, rly couldn’t help myself, so got it:
it’s kinda weird, can’t explain why ppl (myself included) seem to love this game so much (kinda reminds me a bit of punch club though, but less button-mashy [only thing i didnt like about punch club])

It’s coming out tomorrow. It actually looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully the price ain’t absurd…
That does look pretty good, wonder how it’ll measure up to the old Stronghold crusader titles.
Price looks reasonable, unfortunately the game doesn’t look like it’s great. Mixed reception and reviews seems to think the game is alright just not good enough to fulfill expectations.
wait, didn’t dotemu close?

would be pretty cool sharing that part of my childhood (TMNT games i used to play with my bro and sis) with my kids
Yes it did. I remember feverishly downloading their games before the website closed but it seems to be back.
hmm thought so, must just have been the store then and not the entire company
Oh great Steam links are working again
I saw this earlier and I squealed so hard. xD I’m a BIG fan of TMNT and the older games, so this is exciting news for me!
I have been waiting for this game from Quebec. Being in a nature doc sounds like fun.

I have been getting their newsletter and they have been sending some interesting sites…
Here is their Forest soundtrack.
And their Beach Sounds…
Then we met our composer
We were showing off our first prototype at the Montreal International Gaming Summit in 2016 when a man stopped by our booth. He told us he loved nature documentaries and had just finished working on the soundtrack for BBC’s Planet Earth II a few months earlier. He really liked the concept for our game and asked us if we had any music yet for AWAY.Little did we know this man was Mike Raznick, the award-winning composer behind some of the largest movies, games, and nature documentaries of the past decade. We had to work with him. Luckily he was just as excited about collaborating with us. You should look at his extensive composing credits here (notice AWAY at the top!): https://www.mikeraznick.com/
How music sets the mood
One of the reasons AWAY feels so much like a nature documentary is because of Mike’s music. Recorded with a live 40-string orchestra, the soundtrack adds so much more depth to the gameplay.
New Playable Animals
On the development side, we’ve been hard at work integrating the last pieces of AWAY’s gameplay. This includes finalizing the mission flow, polishing the animations, fixing bugs, and even adding some new playable animals! In total, AWAY will feature about a dozen or so animals and insects that you can possess throughout the game. Some of them can be played in side-quests, while others are hidden in your environments, almost like small easter eggs that you can discover if you explore off the beaten path.
Has videos of all the different critters…
Heads up for anyone interested! They’re leaving early access, full release announced for March 27th and it’s 20% sale right now. Tagging the peeps that have it on their wishlist @YQMaoski @delenn13 @techparadox @Evranu @KittiBear

You can probably get a lil cheaper if you already own Touhou Luna Nights via their bundle.
I was actually looking at this last night thinking of buying it. Did not realise the price was going to increase though so I guess I’ll put a pin in grabbing Loop Hero and get this instead! TY <3
