a bunch of streamers like Lirik and Sodapoppin have been playing this game now and then for months; they were certainly having fun with it, and it looked good for what it was, though i’m dont think it would be my kind of thing personally

If you search for “Coin Game”, you get pages and pages of info on the coin shop games.

that’s when you turn on the advanced filter and filter to specifically “The coin game” and watch it do jack squat to whittle down the results.

I see that my fav little dino(@yoshirules) and @missiloon have played The Coin Game. I looked for reviews but I couldn’t find any. Thoughts???
Edit: I talked to @K16 and he said, “Ironically, the first arcade machine and pinball machine were implemented with Survivor Mode on June 13, 2020. The rest were… Wait for it… Coin games and other ticket reward machines.” So they have Survivor mode. PINBALL? I think I just fainted. This guy has made a whole town.
Then he said "Carnival in a laptop is an interesting way to sum up the game. The developer considers this to be an arcade simulator which is also an interesting way to sum up the game. You know what I would say if someone asked me to sum it up? “A virtual experience of reliving your early teenage childhood.” I don’t even agree with the dev when he says it’s about the arcades, because he created a freaking town first before putting any gaming machines in. His focus (whether he realizes it or not) is to provide activities that makes up a typical teenager’s world."

Quick note, pinball is in its first release as a prototype. He fully intends on updating it further, so if there are some things missing (physics needs further polishing, nudging/tilt). He did put in preliminary objectives in the pinball game though, which is rather crazy as it is.

I took a look at Tower Unite (just bought it since it’s my cup of tea), and I agree with how Coin Game can remind anyone of that because of the comparable interactivity. I think the main difference is Tower Unite is a social experience full of mini-games, while The Coin Game is meant to be an experience of teenage life minus school. For instance The Coin Game is aiming for accurate representations of ticket reward machines and attractions (some not even arcade related) in a town you explore in - even your home has interactive features.
Tower Unite puts you in the middle of what is basically a resort (better version of NintendoLand), where you can quickly access all sorts of games, whether you are with people (casino games, waterslides, etc.), or compete against them (trivia, racing, mini-golf, etc.). Their games include their take on Super Monkey Ball and Mario Kart (and even their take on Super Monkey Ball on Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road). Character models are definitely more aesthetically pleasing than The Coin Game.
I will say the developer for The Coin Game will look into online multiplayer options and see if they’re feasible at all. He’s already announced he’ll give it a shot.

Racing games are one of my favorite genres besides RPG and FPS games, but I can understand it’s not something everyone likes from. 
But the game is not one of those simulators so you can pick up and play with ease.
I also don’t think my RIG can take this game, heh, as you probably saw in my Steam profile.

Oh, ok. You’re not good so you avoid this kind of stuff.
The same happens to me with fighting games and online multiplayer FPSes: I also usually avoid them because I “suck” at them, which’s why I voted in Apex Legends in the last Steam Awards in the “Best Game You Suck At” category.

in my case i played fighting games online in past time ( use fightcade) play sf 4 and stink in it , and kof 13 for examples.

I see, heh. I never played fighting games online, and my most played “fighting game” is probably MUGEN.
However I look forward to buy SF 4 and 5 and also a KOF game someday because I love these franchises since I was kid.

I actually rather liked it after I learned how to manually drift. Automatic drifting causes issues for me.
The developer also just overhauled the game as well. updating the opponents, etc.

As cool as LN2 promises to be, let’s not forget Cyberpunk 2077 - no pre-purchasing >> Although, I did get Hades in Early Access, but that was already pretty much working and constantly updating month to month.

this is kinda awesome, wonder if it means license exclusivity has shifted to Ubi or that EA just doesn’t get dibs on Star Wars 
the “kinda awesome” part is not necessarily Ubi getting hands on SW license/title, heck knows they are capable of taking anything awesome and making it bland af 
,
but it will still be interesting to see what they can do, and moreover if others can get their hands on SW licensing now and if we can then get a great spread of (potentially) great Star Wars games

yeah, from what I understood, it’s just that EA doesn’t have exclusivity, and they might look to work with other companies as well to develop Star Wars games

ye, the screenrant article is just, very weird(ly), formulated @_@
EA and Disney will still work together to produce future Star Wars games, as the publisher has not lost its exclusive rights to the license. These new partnerships will therefore not affect projects that are already in development
but then again they also had this gem
EA acquired exclusive rights to the film franchise back in 2021 after Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm
