So, as I’ve suspected, the story is:
Several hours after I’ve posted those two entries the webdevs at indiegala realised they’ve fucked up (per usual).
And they’ve mass-disabled the claiming option on all of their freebies (both past and present) which were revealed by this fresh abomination.
Now they’ve reenabled the option to claim the freebies which are actually supposed to be claimable currently.
All of the freebie giveaways which were phased out a long time ago (like those two and many more) are - again - no longer claimable.
So… unless you’ve grabbed them before they’ve reacted, you won’t be able to.
