Gaming News Thread

It had a good ling run. Maybe they’ll have something new out soon. It’s a big world.

The other day, there was a video about one of those games that got famous fast and then died off just as quicky. Among Us.

I wonder about Fall Guys, the horror game where you had to identify the monster at the end. Maybe there’s not enough of an addictive mechanic, or nothing to progress in like you do with XP. You win, amd win again, then players get bored.

I think I’d rather take the gamers’ opinions over some random youtuber

these numbers speak for themselves

I was waiting to see because I saw some streamers i watch who kept playing the game day after day, and i know very well those guys wouldn’t keep playing something they don’t enjoy given they’re millionaires by now and there simply wouldn’t be any reason for them to do that other than they’re just rly enjoying it

I couldn’t help but hear this guy as McLovin from Superbad :joy:

Very happy to see all this happening. At least for now. We’ll have to see what the fine print brings.

That’s great news. Things were rocky there for awhile, especially after PirateSoftware decided that fighting it was the hill he was willing to die on. Fortunately, he (metaphorically) died on the hill.

how ironic that the guy who’s know for fleeing the fight is the one constantly dying on stupid hills he’s willing to fight over

Speaking of it, looks like Japan had enough of live service games. Maybe it’s the effect of SKG ?

This sounds like good news. The only live service game I ever played was World of Tanks and it put me off live service games forever XD

$80 = Base Game, with missions and customization behind a paywall.

Not the first time and it won’t be the last…they were caught price fixing previously and paid large fines. Sad thing is they’ll be fined a tiny fraction of what they made so for them, it’s worth it.

And some news about SKG. We lost the battle but not the war.

Precisely this. Once a person – and to a greater extent, corporations with “human rights” (and beyond) – has enough wealth, the legal system is just another tax system and they can do whatever they want with little consequence. Considering most of them don’t pay anything remotely resembling their fair share of taxes in the first place, the calculation is easy from their perspective.

I’m curious how formalized it is. Like, I can imagine the opportunity team with a line item in the database that’s like:

Item: Rig Prices

Reward: a bajillion dollars

Reward odds: 100% (what are they gonna do, not buy RAM? hahahaha)

Risk: peanuts (a few hundred million dollars)

Risk odds: 80% (someone’s probably gonna notice but whatever)

Pursue?: obviously
