Seems i already own Ethan Carter, looking forward to x-com 2, though i hate doom-clocks so we will see.
There are mods to make the doom-clocks easier or remove them entirely, both for missions and the global one, so you can still enjoy the game even if you hate them. My friend played with such mods and had a good time.
Edit: Actually, not sure if there’s one to remove the global one. But there are definitely mods to make it slower.
Then i might give it a go. I liked the first one, though i did not finish it.

Paradigm is a point and click that borrows a lot from Lucas Art games. Well worth playing if you like those games.
