Oh wow! Totally forgot this even existed…good times!
For those like me who played Mario as one of their first games, here’s the Mario Theme being played in Stardew Valley
This sounds great!
What’s with that framerate tho? I had a bit of a stroke
“i’m totally not stalking you, -i swear”
...
You do have a quick draw, but that’s a good thing for a forum. Anyway, as long as you don’t have a dueling pistol…
Depends on what you classify as an actual game. First computer game I can recall playing at home was a crappy “type it in yourself” thing called “Killer Comet” for the Vic-20. My dad was an early computer enthusiast and he was all about Commodore’s computers. He spent the morning plugging that game into the machine, and I wasted about an hour after he did shooting blobs of color at a larger blob of color that moved slowly across the screen. I forget how old I was, but I know I was still in early years of grade school.
As far as Arcade games go… probably Pac-Man. It was everywhere at the time.
Mario and Duck Hunt I think. They were on the same cartridge at the time
I remember that, at the age of 6yrs old, my dad bought me the 1st version of the playstation; the big, squared one, with the reset button. The console was supposed to be for me and my little brother, and the best game that he could buy was Shadowman. I never played that game because it was scary to me, but I really liked to see my dad playing it, just as I was always asking my older sister to play Resident Evil 3 or Alien.
Oh man, your first experience of a console loading screen was Playstation loading sound? The bar is so high for you!
Im not sure if its the first game I played but its one of my first memories of playing on my nan’s Atari ST as a small child.
Shufflepuck Cafe!
God of War was a great game! But wow, your first game was 2005… I am always surprised to know that 18 years have passed since the beginning of millennium…
@YQMaoski Well… I started playing games rather late, so im happy that I had the chance to start with such a great game. Also, some years back I got to try some classics that I didnt get chance to play when I was younger.
Haha, yes this one is definitely a classic too
The first game I remember playing was that amazing Taxi puzzle game I played with my siblings. It was so fricking hard back then. I had trouble remembering the name but found it, and the English version seems to be called “Street Shuffle”. Has anyone of you ever heard of it?
(The later stages are way harder with bumby roads, snow, …)
It’s fully playable on archive.org right now. Have a look if you want. It’s worth it just for the amazing music.
