Chrono Rally League 🏁

yeah, it’s definitely an issue. Currently doing Poland, and though after the very first leg, it showed myself on the friends’ leaderboard, ever since, it keeps telling me every time i finish a leg that there are no entries for the selected leaderboard (friends), so not even my own

guess i’m gonna make sure to grab a screenshot this time around once i’m done

somehow i now do finally appear on the friends leaderboard, by myself. This one felt pretty good. Mistakes were made ofc, but nothing major.

k, gonna try the H2 one, but pretty scared of jumping into the Alpine atm

OMG why does this car feel like it’s driving on ice though it’s Australian gravel?

Awful time from me. Biggest fuck up was the very first track , which we ran here few weeks ago and i’ve managed smth like 03:09 time and just had to fuck up massively now , losing over a minute on that time… slowly climbs back to tree canopy taking several hour long naps in the process

@Pylinaer that is some great time, if you are doing this with a controller then kudos to you.

With all of you complaining so much about how terrible you were doing in Poland I figured I’d have a chance to show what I’m made of. What I’m made of is apparently hubris, failure and punctured tires. I had forgotten how much I enjoy driving on my rims, even though that value was always going to be negative.

Oh yeah I bought a “new” car.

I think I might have to look at finding a new chief mechanic as well.

I should probably have repaired it in my garage before entering the event but I was rather surprised to find that I was not able to repair it at the start of the event and that everything showed as if it was in perfect condition when it very clearly wasn’t and I had to drive the first 3 stages not only with no upgrades but pre-damaged. Of course I added a good bit to that myself.

I ended up having to actually do a complete engine replacement towards the end of this run. Spent ~170k in repairs total on this weekly, I do not expect to get much of that back.

So I’ve finally decided to give this game a try after saving some space in the HD where’s installed all my games.
It’s tough as nails but I hope I can get used to it along the time. Don’t even get me started on all accidents and crashes I had so far.

Very glad to hear you’re enjoying yourself and I have to say those times look very good, especially for someone just starting out. Nice choice of car too, I really like the Integrale myself.

Feel free to ask if there’s anything that has you puzzled or you want to know more about.

Well, not much enjoying myself as much as learning the ropes and getting used to the game and seeing what works and what doesn’t.
This is definitely not an arcade game where you can pick up the car and go all out on straights and turns. Instead you’ve to go with the flow and let the track guide you or risk crashing to your heart’s content, so I usually keep pressing and releasing the accelerator button instead of holding it for a long time unless in either at the beginning or the end of the track.

I load default settings from Steam Workshop to make adjustments on the car according to the race since I don’t have a clue on what to touch there.

Anyway it’s a good game but it’s not something you just pick up and play.

My theory is that they try to make the executable as big as it gets so that no one will keep it around on their hard drives. Then they can freely shutdown the servers and stop paying for them.

started a new championship with a kit car and I now have a pretty good idea what it must feel like riding a chihuahua that is on crack

Golf in particular is really awful. You can set it up anyway way you want but it still feels like you are driving a train on tracks but tracks are goin’ the wrong way

chose the seat; it’s fun but so so aggressive and so light u feel u can lose it at anytime; it’s FWD though, which does help a lot
