Hey everyone. I’m in search of games I can play with 1 or more friends. After my experience with ‘A Way Out’ I wish there were more co-op games like that. Anyway, I’m hoping to get some recommendations. It doesn’t need to be story-driven, just something that you think is a lot of fun and could provide a decent amount of hours of entertainment.
Co-op games we’ve played:
A way out, Far cry series, Halo MCC, Minecraft and I’m sure there’s more but i can’t remember off the top of my head.
@anon63424221 and I played Minion Masters as a team today - it’s pretty fun, but I dunno if you already have it. Usually, they give out freebies codes for new card packs.
A quick list of games I know are good co-op games, most of which I have unfortunately not been able to try myself yet.
Aragami
Battleblock theater
Degrees of Separation
Divinity Original Sin 1+2
Mercenary Kings
Moon hunters
Outland - If you already have it, sadly not for sale anymore.
Portal 2
Risk of Rain 1+2
Terraria or Starbound
The Trine series
Warhammer: Vermintide 1+2
Some of these are online or local-only multiplayer:
Dragon Quest Builders 2
Multiplayer in the Steam/PS4 versions is restricted to Online Only; It’s only available for Explorer’s Island, a place where you can build anything from scratch. You’ll have to progress the story to a certain point be able to access it.
A Hat In Time
Shovel Knight
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Sonic Mania
River City Ransom: Underground
Tabletop Simulator
Starbound
Borderlands series
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed
Orcs Must Die! 2
Torchlight 2
Dungeon Souls
Guacamelee series
Dead Rising series
The first game in the series doesn’t have multiplayer.
Left 4 Dead series
Most of the Lego games
ie. Harry Potter, Marvel Super Heroes 1/2, Star Wars (they’re all getting a remake titled The Skywalker Saga, which includes all 9 movies in a single game), etc.
Awesome thanks for the info. I can’t wait for Skywalker saga, I hope it has actual online co-op this time around. Actually now that I’m thinking about it I wonder if I could use radmin to trick the game into thinking its local multiplayer or LAN I guess. If LAN is even an option.

Also have a look at the Co-op tag or designation on steam.
Some games I haven’t seen mentioned:
ibb & obb - short co-op platformer puzzle
We Were Here - f2p 2 player puzzle, requires mic communication
Sniper Elite 2,3,4 - Tactical shooter, snipers, stealth
Tick Tock: A Tale for Two - 2 player puzzle that doesn’t require direct online connection
Resident Evil 5 - as long as you are ok with the controls, this is a fun co-op tactical shooter
Dungeon of the endless is a great game i recommend it so very much but it is not similar at all to the ones you have played together. It is a tower-defense resource-management strategy game
