World of Warcraft

I’m planning on re-entering the World of Warcraft. Starting from scratch (EU). I’d love to do it together with a couple of people!

Who’s up for re-rolling with me on Defias Brotherhood (Horde)?

Don’t even play it. I was always afraid of selling my life to it. I have a steam friend who’s absolutely obsessed about it, though. She loves Illidan to bits! Anyway, it sounds like fun! Hope you find a couple of folk to play with. (: :butterfly:

The level scaling pretty much killed the fun for me. Other than that, may RNGesus be with you

How exactly did the level scaling kill the fun for you? From what I’ve heard (haven’t played retail since TBC) it’s pretty neat that you don’t have to drop quests anymore because you don’t quickly overlevel a zone’s mobs and quests.

I don’t feel progression, you gain a level and so does your foe. The power fantasy is gone. Questing is slower and the story flows slower too. Also, some areas are in need of a retune over others.

I also play D3, where you can choose between 17 difficulty levels. Having the same choice in WoW as an option would be cool, but a blanket rebalance is bound to make someone unhappy.

Sounds fun, but I don’t even know if my poor backup computer could handle it. Also it costs money, so there’s that too.

If I had the time I would definitely do it. I mean I’d be terrible since I know next to nothing about the game but it would be fun.
I almost missed WoW completely when I was young and I lived in Guild Wars during it’s active years.
