Dio was seriously something else. Everyone thinks about Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath then topic goes to classic Heavy Metal but,man, Dio… that fucking voice echoes deeper inside you than anything else. Rest in peace ,you fucking legend.
Watched Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey again. The later is a MUCH better film, but SS is still fun. I really think Margot Robbie plays Harley so damn well, especially in SS. Also, the soundtrack for both SS and BoP are FIRE.

Oh god, the Velma show was so bad I actually hurt myself cringing. I mean, not ALL of it was obviously bad, but there was so much wrong with it that the very few–and I mean VERY few–parts that didn’t suck couldn’t save it. I mean, others might like it, but ehhhhhhhh.
Rewatched the finale season for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I forgot how absolutely cinematic and perfect the finale episode was. Everything about it was just perfect. You can tell Dave Filoni and the rest of the gang put there ALL into it. The most Star Wars-y the franchise has been since the prequels.
I’m watching The Power from Amazon and damn does it push the “all men are evil bastards” message hard. Almost every man in the show is evil, manipulative, sexist, racist, rapist or something else that’s cruel/evil. Not only that, it makes hilarious forced use of “trendy” things on the internet to further that claim. lmao

OLD; Eureka Seven
Just finished Hi Evolution (1) and the Anemone movie.
Eureka Seven was great. Yes, I would have loved to have a sequel to it that wasn’t the mess AO was and yes I would have loved movies, but what we got? I’m sorry, but holy cow, what a mess. It takes a beautiful story and just overcomplicates it and then twists it around so much it turns into this nonsensical garbage.
The Hi Evolutions and the Anemone movies completely and utterly undermines the beauty of the series. I thought AO was bad, but DAMN. I was proven SO wrong. I hate it when studios do these things to their projects…
Summary
Virtual worlds, dream worlds, alternative reality Earths, multiple timelines and NO clear answer as to what is the end and what is real…it’s a waste of so much beauty.
Anemone is a completely different person in the movie, and it removes the tragic suffering of her storyline and how beautiful it was that Dominic was the only one to see her for who she was. It turns Eureka into a pyscho murderer out for revenge on humanity for Renton’s death and although, yea, Anemone manages to bring her back to the “reality”, she’s still killed millions of people over, and over and over again in a loop of reboots of timelines to find one where she doesn’t kill Renton. I know what you’re thinking! That’s a really awesome storyline…yea, it COULD have been, if the OG series didn’t conflict with this. If this didn’t ruin Eureka. Her struggles in the OG series were about coming to terms with the horrible things she had done and never wanting to hurt people or Coralians ever again. It feels like a massive disrespect to the character. And don’t get me started on the Dominic not even being real, but an AI thing. That shit pisses me OFF. lmao
I don’t know, guess I gotta see the last movie before I judge the entire movie collection REBOOT, but the summary of it already has me shaking my head. Another weird timeline or something in which Eureka is alone, none of the OG series happened, and she’s The Last of Us Joeling it with this new Coralian girl named Iris…
Why couldn’t we just get a new series that focuses on Renton and Eureka returning like they promised, and starting the promise of uniting the Coralians and the humans? If there was need for a conflict, there’s so many other ways. Humans resisting the co-existence, Coralians accidentally bringing disease with them, etc etc. I don’t know why they felt the need for such a convoluted crapshoot of a story expansion…
And yes, if it isn’t obvious, I am a HUGE fan of the original series…and of BONES. lol

Anyone seen Silo yet? It’s a new series on Apple TV+ and it’s really good. It’s about people being “trapped” in a Fallout Vault (but a giant silo sticking out of the ground?) basically, for 140 years trying to survive an unnamed or unexplained (yet) global disaster.
It’s actually really good so far, but then again a lot of Apple’s TV shows/movies have been great like See, Dear Edward, Foundation, Coda, and Invasion.
I know every generation says it about the last, but I think every generation before the current one can agree that most modern music is garbage and lacks any soul.
