I blame John Scalzi…I had forgotten it too…Now… WHY???
As with so many things in the 80s it’s about drug abuse, probably heroin. Happens to be the song that got me into synthpop back in the days, it’s an amazing track which I still listen to from time to time.
@spinoute Claymore sounds great! I love Yoma and all the different kinds of yokai. Sometimes, I watch Curse of the Undead Yoma for nostalgia and coz I love Marou. It might be hard to find the manga now I guess?
I don’t think so, tbh. I usually buy it from here:
But I think you can also get it on Amazon.
Yes and I found it in a few other places for not too bad a price but also Out of Stock, so it’s on 2 wishlists. They made a NDS game too.
Isn’t The Book Depository a possible solution for you?
You can also buy them digitally from Viz (the publisher), if you don’t mind that format:
I didn’t notice that. O_O
I just found out the Spirit Netflix show just spawned a movie from Dreamworks. And it isn’t even new content, it’s rehashing most of S1 with some twists (such as Lucky apparently being a kung fu master?). I don’t understand why this was needed? Is this why the show was ended to what feels prematurely? And they even changed actors for characters. Why? lol
Kinda annoying they call it the “next chapter” in the story, when it isn’t at all. Now I kinda wanna watch the series again.
Finished Claymore and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Now on to the next series:
Yay! Now what shiny did you find? peeks
It came through my Youtube playlist again. I couldn’t skip it. lol
EDTI
I am oddly fascinated and terrified by this song at the same time. Which has not changed since I heard it as a kid. lol
I’m sure you’ve heard about the medieval version of songs floating around on youtube.
For example:
But now they are adding Ye Olde English vocals with subtitles:
FFXIV has been so much fun. I haven’t had this much fun with the series, and attachment, since FF12. I’m so happy the team behind FFXIV will work on FFXVI rather than strictly Nomura. It feels like the series is finally reclaiming its lost splendor.
The music in the game has been something of a great experience, as well! So incredible!
I just started a new Netflix show called Katla. It’s Icelandic, and it’s good so far. I like the twists…hopefully it doesn’t disappoint. lol
EDIT
And…disappointing.
Reading a story by Michael Connelly called Echo Park. It features Harry Bosch - his mainstay detective. He’s a bit daft about people and slightly quick to anger, but he’s a good cop.
I’m hoping that his love interest doesn’t get bodied before the book ends, because we all know… sigh.
I think I’ve found a new singer to look a little deeper into, once I stop listening to this one song of hers at least.
I largely tend to not favor music with lyrics but her voice in this song is just so relaxing and pleasant to listen to.
Finished Echo Park and yea, the MC is a bit of a … um… anti-hero at times. His girl didn’t die, but she stopped seeing him because Harry Bosch is a bit of a … um… bastard to criminals. Yes. On the other hand, he has great sympathy for the victims and their families - that side of him makes his character not 100% intolerable.
I just watched Spirit Untamed.
Hmm. No. No, no, no.
Summary
I actually think the new CGI is 1000x worse (it actually legit terrified me at moments). I don’t like that they didn’t bring back the actors…as if non-hollywood names can’t do the job right? I don’t like the changes. Rhyagelle. Don’t. Like. At this point, so drastically different, why even keep the character designs? They are nothing like their show counter-parts. They’re new people borrowing the older one’s names. Also, it was PAINFULLY obvious they were trying to get Frozen humor into this and it just didn’t work.
Perhaps the WORSE offender? Turning Jim Prescott, a great and loving and encouraging dad, into a loser who abandoned his daughter after her mother died. No. Just no. This is so stupid I just can’t even y’all, I can’t.
Perhaps I could have liked the movie, but THAT alone made Rhyagelle ANGRY LIKE A SABER-TOOTH LION.
(just so it’s clear, it’s not a bad movie itself, but it’s a very poor version of the show. Very poor.)
