I don’t know if anyone listenes to doom and sludge here, but APF records put up a compilation the other day. Lots of nice music to listen to, just be sure to turn it up to eleven.

The charm of the Tarzan movie is lost almost completely when you read Tarzan of the Apes. The concept of it is still intriguing, of course, but I cannot gloss over the obvious racial opinions of the author here. I do not design myself upon knowing what he might have believed, but at the very least, he obviously considered people of color to be inferior in some regard and it shows painfully in this work.
I should read Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea next. That one is a marvel of literature. I wish I could write half as well as Jules Verne.

A legal (?) way to watch “golden age” anime. They offer a premium plan, but that majorly seems to remove adds.

I just watched The Nevers on HBO Max. I’m so confused. I do know though that it is another fake “God is real; there are angels” garbage, which will end up being one of two things. 1) aliens or 2) humanity from the super far distant future. Now, it isn’t that I will particularly mind if that is so, I just wish we would stop getting these “it’s god no lol its satan no lol its aliens” shows…

oh lol everything makes sense. Joss Whedon creation. Oh this is gonna be garbage when it concludes its season, and not just garbage, it’ll be cancelled garbage at the end. No wonder it had all those fake “Pro-women you’re the most coolest” without actually contributing anything of value for us.

I’m not ashamed to say I started The Umbrella Academy anew. lol I plan on sitting down and finishing Amphibia too, but that’s further down the line, I think.
For now, just finished another episode of UA and began some music to write with. xD

Watching Monster-In-Law and I forgot how funny it is, especially when they have dinner together and they’re directly competing for Kevin. lol good, whomesome comedy.

I just finished watching a movie on Amazon Prime called “Spontaneous”.
Summary
Well, thank God THAT doesn’t happen in real life. lol I enjoyed it, despite the horrific stuff and the pointedly clear “anti-republican/Christian people” crap. I could have done without hearing that every thirty minutes (I guess some people need to see villains in their opposites though?), but the two main characters were quite adorable, especially together. Makes what happened all the more…depressing.
The ending bit ranting about Trump was completely out of nowhere and was just an even bigger look into those anti-republican comments through out the film. I guess the person who made this film thinks 100% of Republican voters are reincarnations of Trump? lol Just blows my mind how people can let their political parties rule their lives so much…

Ah, well let me ask you a serious question then. Keep in mind my only exposure to this content is your review of it. Would you say that this movie constitutes hateful content? Should it be reported and potentially removed?

I certainly would not go that far. It is hateful sometimes in what it presents as the Republican voter base, sure, but harmful? No. Content should only never be allowed to “be” if it is actively inciting people to violence, that’s my opinion. Even if I should disagree with it entirely, it’s part of the freedom coin. You get both sides of it.

Just finished the new episode of The Falcon and Winter Soldier. Fantastic episode. I honestly think it is the best yet. I wish Marvel did more this, rather than the brainless action scenes every twelve seconds.

Just starting the newest episode of Invincible too. The art dropped so far the last two episodes I’m honestly confused as to what is happening. It looked like clip-art, that’s how bad it was. I don’t understand. lol are budgets lower for their non-action specific episodes or something?
Also, was Cheston (basically a douche jock) played by Justin Roiland? Because it sounded like him, not trying to sound like Rick. lol Gonna have to check, now.
