Yes indeed, I wonder why the site has become such a target. I keep seeing new spam posts but not like before; I hope it’s not a completely manual defense. Consider my suggestion on new account freezes if that’s a possibility, at least as a temporary measure.

Today we had 13 bots get thro and they posted 39 posts total. I banned the isp’s and emails plus deleted the user and posts. We will see.

My schedule has changed so has @PeteMcc so hopefully this works. @carvalho20ptc has done an excellent job of taking over posting all the freebies etc.

I’ll keep on doing my part to contain the bots as usual. They’re attacking even on the weekend. :face_exhaling:

Anyway, I’ll do my best on this new position, and keep an eye on things.

It should clearly have been me though, given my title.

As my first task as a moderator, I decided to pin a few essential topics for now to avoid that they become lost in the forums, forcing people to scroll for them and miss the new posts.

Also to avoid that those darn bots flood the forums and push the topics into oblivion.

I hope you guys find this useful. If not, you can undo it.
