2 more months have passed, and I’m already looking at $32 profit if i sell right now, but there’s now less than 300,000 cases on market while there’s over 4 million buy orders, so it might start rising very fast very soon.
my goal is to sell them at $1 gross, which means $842 of steam wallet.
i won’t update anymore after this because it’s too insane if it actually happens, but it should
the only reason i’ve sporadically posted on this is to show how ez and cheap it is and to encourage others to do the same and benefit
all it takes is some investment and then the passage of time, and of course hoping market doesn’t crash for some reason, lol
From an investment perspective I’m not sure if $32 earned over a year is particularly impressive. What’s the ROI% you’re getting there?
You should have but that money into gamestop instead : )
what matters is I spent $38 a year ago, and the goals is to turn that $38 into $842 or more, or perhaps less, which will then allow me to buy some more thousands of cheap cases and repeat the same thing over and over whenever those become rare, not to mention hundreds of $ in games as well.
this is the case at hand:
and i’ve given this one as example before:
just 2 years ago, you could buy 1000 of those for $30, and you could now sell those for $1700, which is 5666.66% ROI, if my math is correct.
also, i’m not talking about making a living here, just getting games for free
and this is not a rare occurrence either btw, just see:
it’s rly just a matter of time before they just stop dropping and eventually become rare and expensive
actually, i used to buy weapon skins on market to trade them for cases and make a lot of profit that way way back in the day
but the end destination is sooner or later, some not very smart person will spend $2.5 on a key to open that case, hoping to get a $300 knife out of it (0.05% chance or something) but end up with a $0.04 skin more than likely, and for some reason they keep doing it
basically, Gaben is a slot machine maffiosi who makes millions by having kids gamble their parents credit card $
I could ask them why they need to buy CSGO skins when they are essentially going to be worthless when the online servers close down (sooner or later), but then I’d be like complaining why do people collect toys and Funko Pops for a living as well.
that’s not rly going to happen soon at all (still over a million concurrent players each day)
also, the difference is ppl use these skins to play with every day, and some are worth thousands of $
I used to have a $400 inventory which I’d made all just through skin-case trading, no real money involved whatsoever.
also, it’s been said that when cs go moves to Source 2.0 (new engine, so basically like the sequel, but the same) or a sequel is made, skins will transfer as well so market should remain intact, which makes sense cuz everytime a sale is made, Valve makes like 10% on that, so they literally makes millions of $ per week without doing anything, so they definitely would want to protect and maintain that
that’s my main point about not understanding skins
how where why people value them like that
aside from them being digital, meaning any “rarity” is completely BS and arbitrary, (imo) CSGO skins are beyond boring if not down right ugly, and some of the expensive ones are basically either a single or couple of palettes or different shader on top
it makes 0 sense for any of the skins, (and skins in general imo), to be worth more than a few cents-bucks, and there must be some sort of absolute ultra caveman madness attached to the phenomenon
i don’t mind people making bank on keys, cases, skins, but for the life of me, i’ll never fathom how it possible some reach double digit prices and beyond
(and being a grump it ofc also totally p’s me off the arbitrary rarity exists to begin with )
100% agree with u and never spent a cent of real $ on that shit, only steam market profit, which i personally treat like monopoly money
(also, btw, but that’s a whole other topic, there are actually ppl making real $ profits on steam as well, you can buy skins with steam wallet and then sell those for paypal $ on certain sites or convert them to credit there and cash that credit out to paypal etc.)
I’m not a super fan, but he’s a good artist - give Jack his jacket. I’m super pissed about BTS and them not showing awards in the R and B category. How deliberate is that? hiss!
Bold face want people to perform for their sponsors at the stupid show, and don’t want to show same artists receiving their awards. Hell and damnation, so blatantly used and refused? smh
Just got back from a HIIT run-walk program and finished with what strength training I can do right now (inclined push-ups, squats and bicep curls). It felt like death during the strength training, but I feel pretty dang good right now!
I need, and I want, to get to a point where I can run the 2 miles. It’s gonna be a long journey!
I don’t watch TV, unless it’s like, old animated shows like Tom & Jerry or Looney Tunes. Yeah; there’s absolutely nothing of value that can come from the likes of any ‘news network’.
You don’t necessarily have to watch news. There are good things on TV, but then again, anything you can watch on a TV can be streamed. lol Do you watch streamed content then?
People crap on streaming a lot (and with the streaking service war alongside high prices for Netflix and the ever dreaded exclusivity, who can blame them?), but I’d probably take that over paid TV services these days. Doesn’t help that in my area the latter pretty much have a monopoly for major sporting events and shows to only be on their service.
Our household does streaming instead. We got the cheapest bundle (so we gotta have tv) but we basically only watch the news on TV. Everything else is through Netflix, Disney and Prime. We get it all for just about under $30, which is significantly cheaper than TV and has way better content. It is definitely going to eventually kill ISP’s for TV content and probably soon. xD
EDIT
Happy! My sister pre-ordered the Mass Effect Legendary Edition for me (she knows I’m a BIG fan) and the ASVAB Prep Book arrived today! Time to study!
