Anyway, in other news , this winter keeps on giving here. I honestly cant remember so much snow in the last 15 or 20 years . Meteorologists estimate that it will snow for at least two or three more days and it total of 40 to 45 centimeters of snow will fall down .
I could barely drive out of my own driveaway this morning alone so if it will continue snowing i’m not even sure i will be able to leave for work tomorrow lol.
Tree branches are breaking from weight of the snow , damaging electric lines so a lot of people are experiencing electricity shortages and so on. A lot of traffic accidents ofc.
All those things considered i’m enjoying it a lot . Took a walk during my lunch break, it’s so beautiful and fluffy all around.
DAY TWO EDIT : Yes, as predicted i wasnt able to leave for work this morning with my car and had to take a rent car with phone app . Which was luckily parked in the street itself so i was able to jump out on the road and get some grip with tires.

Okay, so I got big chunkers of cats. They don’t like sleeping anywhere else by on my desk. Unfortunately, because they so obese and cuddly, they want to lie on my keyboard. Mostly because of the lack of space. So, quick thinking, I decided it was time to finally get a monitor arm. I ordered one from Amazon, new, from VIVO. It arrived today and I opened it.
Imagine my anger when I get a terribly boxed product which housed really old ziplock baggies full of misaligned, scuffed, bent and broken pieces. The arm pole itself was hideous, and the clamp’s rubber was destroyed, as if a dog chewed it up. I was furious. I go to Amazon and engage their chat. Apparently, thinking I’d approve of this, they ran out of new models of the arm and instead sent me a horribly broken used unit, which out telling me. So I paid full price for new, got garbage.
Support helped me refund it, still gotta send it out, but whoo boy has that not been fun. I waited 2 weeks for that thing, and spent $40 on it. This comes on the heels of a previous terrible purchase on Amazon, which was a rear rack for my bike. Arrived scuffed, misaligned and broken, and missing instructions. Still waiting on that refund, too. -sigh-
Short of it all…very annoyed.

I feel your pain. I have had to return I don’t even know how many things. Missing parts, not the thing I ordered at all, didn’t work etc. It’s annoying as you say, because half the stuff I ordered right now, I can NOT get here and we aren’t allowed to travel so I am stuck. I did get my money back on all but one thing. GRRRRR!!!
I did just order another Nvidia Shield and it was perfect…BUT NOT FROM AMAZON>

Good news! The new rear rack I ordered actually works, and is of good quality. Unlike the three others I tried…
Now my bike is pimp’d out to the max! When I get back into shape with my arm, I’m gonna be rollin’ in style.

So i bought something that is supposed to be dollars using paypal but they charged in euros and converted back to pounds which ended up being more. Which is weird as in the past they always charged in dollars hmmm

now, i wonder, where is the global funny business about the US President sitting at a small desk this time??? It’s the exact same frikkin desk. I’m not saying Trump didn’t deserve all the potential ridiculing he could get, but it does go to show how the media do have double standards about almost everything. So it’s worth pointing it out.

I’m so tired.
I just want a home, where me and my siblings can live in some comfort, without having to worry about failing wires or whatnot. I don’t know how much poorer we have to be to qualify for assistance, but apparently you gotta be so poor you literally cannot have bills to pay.
So many families struggling but aren’t deemed important enough to help. What a travesty of a government.

I heard that Nintendo ported a few Wii games to Nvidia Shield.
The difference is that Biden is only using the desk to sign bills and executive orders (as is the desk’s purpose), while Trump was using it to whine about how nobody wanted to throw out election results for him. Notice how nobody brought up the desk’s size all the other times Trump used it:

depending on your payment (and bank/card provider) you can (or at least used to) set paypal to bill you in the original store currency, which can be “cheaper” than relying on paypals auto exchange rate - tho it’s important to note it really depends on bank/payment issuer since i’m told some actually have even more absurd rates than paypal
and ye, if you live in a “EU centered” region, it’s not uncommon for some stores that billed you in $ before to charge you in € at checkout, even if the prices are displayed in $ - i’ve had this happen a couple of times where i only caught it on the paypal note or visa verification sms

The media is no one’s friend, no matter what color they sporting.
We’re talking about the very people who said, for four years, that the 2016 election—and let me remind you, being proven it was not largely effected but that there certainly was foreign interference for both—was illegitimate due to Russian meddling. Now, flip those sides, and Republicans are doing the same thing about the 2020 elections, but the other side is all like “nah man, there weren’t votes being thrown into ditches or anything” when there was.
The media has become this gross, power hungry, biased hiding place for the rich and hard-to-move mindset upper class. They control literally everything you see and hear now. Google, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and big media are the enemy, no matter if you are Republican or Democrat, if you voted Bernie, Biden, Trump or crazy dude with the shoe hat.
Then we have “the people”, who can’t respect the core values of the state, such as not willing to understand you may think and believe differently than your neighbor and while you can disagree with it—hey, my neighbor is an anarchists’ who blasts music all day and destroys his yard, creating a fire hazard, but I’m chill, gotta respect that he’s following what he believes—that’s part of the reason why this country is so special. We can have millions of different cultures, religions (or lack thereof), races, and political view points without someone telling us you can’t.
Basically…I’m agreeing with you. Their double standards are toxic and it is so embarrassing to see the state of America as an American.
