In other news, I’m completely f’ed. Hotmail authenicates with Google, Google requires a phone and there’s no other way to get into my gmail account, and to top all off - the phone screen won’t show anything but shimmering, shivering lines where my lock screen should be. I don’t have another phone just waiting in the wings either.
So no phone no glory. There seems to be no way around this. I don’t have any Passkey for Google backup - never heard of/paid attention to it if had heard of it. Or I tried to set up and it was wall to wall stress, so I dropped out and that was that. Multibillion company ladies and gentleman - login to your account you’ve been using for years - phone and only phone dependent.
Tried Account Recovery - hey we never heard of YOU. Tried to login - password accepted, now if only you have a phone we could actually let you into your mail. Wonderful. Just.
Does any of those “random ears” include Spock ears???
So did you get this straighten out? They are forcing all of us here to use a phone as ID. It really sucks for a lot of my friends. To even use the transit now, you need a phone.
No Spock ears, sadly, most headbands is what I see knocking around stores or thrift shops - the few times I go out just cause and not for necessary.
I have ideas now. What happened was: Bluestacks, new install, and it defaults to spoofing a Samsung S1 Ultra phone, so when I put in my gmail and stuff, Google was all like “hey authenicate the new phone”, and I couldn’t. Google doesn’t not play nice with other companies it seems. Interesting, but seriously, heart rending - that’s all it was: me wanting to play stuff since my phone went on the blink, literally. It’s pressing the screen itself, on my lockscreen too.
In theory, USB C and plug into the Macbook Air M1 and let scrcpy convince the phone to use the laptop’s mouse and keyboard instead of its own screen - so I can finally get in, type in my pin, all that good stuff. In theory. We’ll find out tomorrow, no hardware yet.
sigh Yesterday was a rough day. The far-right won mostly of the chairs and positions in our election.
Now I know how you guys from USA felt when Trump and his gang won. But I’ll keep on fighting with my head lift up full of hope and not rely on politics to shape my destiny.
