Hey there @Fuzzles LTNS! Love that pic. Super Awesome! Lovely to “see” you.

@dusty has been keeping us on line. We may be small but we are still kicking.

We are having our Ridge Fest(3 day event) this weekend. So I have been busy with people staying at my place so they don’t have to worry about parking etc. Plus a few of us last night got wasted watching the bands so they crashed here.

So Gotta go for now.

well, it’s not much better on the other side

Sony Playstation:

  • decide to bring your exclusives to PC
  • prevent all people from over 100 countries to buy said games because you can’t make a PSN account in those countries, preventing them from buying those games because said PSN account is a requirement for being able to buy them
  • eventually loosen up, years later, after all the hype has long died and ppl have moved on and since they’ve now waited for years and years, they might as well wait a little longer for bigger discounts
  • complain that your games haven’t sold as much as expected (again, 100+ countries literally couldn’t buy them )
  • decide to no longer bring said games to PC

geniuses at work on both sides

Can’t afford any hardware either, so the only solution seems to be small indie games ran on potato computers.

In my experience, indie games tend to be better anyway. Or, maybe I should say the cream of the indie crop is where you can find the best games today (because there’s certainly plenty of shovelware and poorly executed ideas to be found). I suppose I’m fortunate enough to find pixel art and other retro graphics to be charming, so from my POV, I’m not making a sacrifice of any kind when I choose indie.

A quick scan through my Steam favorites shows 24 of 40 to be definitely indie games. Of the 16 remaining, I’d say only about 6 are actually what I’d call AAA games. So the rest are… what’s the middle ground between indie and AAA? AA? A? lol. Like, Age of Empires II. I wouldn’t call it indie, but it’s definitely not AAA.

Same here, so much that I’m scouring my library for games to play, and mostly of them are indies.
