Just in case you guys don’t know:
Don’t do any search with AI Search on Google or anywhere else. It gives synthesized and hallucinated information. The results frequently are pulled from multiple popular (wrong likely) websites, or through the LLM features, the idea being that some “answer” is better than “I have no bloody idea”.
Google is being hella dishonest in what they claim to provide with their AI tools. The disclaimer is in the small print in places where we don’t look by default.
Legal and morally coherent are worlds apart. I only wish I could fight baco, because even for billionaires, this crap is evil - beyond evil.
I’m going to have to fix my laptop by myself, see if computer searches are less rage inducing. It’s like nothing goes my way.

First of all, STOP using Google. It’s crap and has been for quite a while. Full of ads and not easy to figure out what is an ad or not…

I’ve been using startpage for quite a while (interesting that you mention it), had used Duck before that which is also good. Can’t recall why I switched…on a whim or maybe I wanted to switch to something less well known in the hopes of being even “more” anonymous, lol.

Thanks peeps. I have Opera on phone, change Search engine to duck duck go. Deleting everything in Google will take an ahe without laptop. Nothing loads that well on a phone screen, it’s maddening, even though O get it.
