I often get messaged by these cryptocurrency spammers on telegram.

So what’s surprising is that these people followed up after the first email, had a phone call with the HR dept, had scanned documents back and forth confirming the change in the banking routing and account numbers to a cash card, and everything went smoothly and I didn’t even hear about it. I saw the signature on the change document, and it clearly wasn’t mine.
The company has policies now in place to confirm with the people in person if they want to change how their paychecks get deposited.
