It would seem that I don’t have any where near the disposable income of some of you…which explains why I very seldom buy new games, why the only really new games in my account are gifts and why I find Humble Bundles more appealing. So over 6 and a half years we have -

My Steam Profile (from SteamDB)

  • Worth: $2404 ($1837 with sales)
  • Games owned: 495
  • Games played: 195 (39%) I really need to get to my backlog :scream_cat:
  • Hours on record: 3,277.7h

I wish I knew how much I spent on bundles and I wonder if that External Funds Used takes into account money spent on gifts for others. Hubby and I already think I have spent too much on games think that I am going to take a break from buying all the “shinys” and focus on the “shinys” I have to try and whittle down my backlog.

Aside from FTL and handful of other games that I was able to play on an aging Macbook, I really didn’t start buying until I got a decent gaming PC in early 2017. So, this about 1.5 years worth of spending on ~364 games.

The majority of my games were gifts :woman_shrugging:

Also it bothers me that SteamDB counts my total games differently from Steam, so I get really confused about how big my backlog is. Steam tells me I’m currently at 482 games. So yeah, I also have more games than money spent.

and most of the games that I bought were really cheap too

Steam(game collect badge) only counts “active” games, ie games that haven’t been “removed” from the store (well and now also not games that hasn’t qualified for “real” product status “yet”)
SteamDB counts everything in your account via the app id’s, -whether or not they’re removed from the store front/“still able to purchase”

Just to add to this as well, Steam counts active games that are not free. Anything in your games list that is free to play gets counted as well in SteamDB, but not on Steam.

Not very please to see the $363.19 USD I have spent. But at least now I know, after 3 and a half years+ out of 8 years on Steam. The SteamDB link insightful! Thanks so so much
