Not played the remaster of the original yet.
Warning: After watching for 10 minutes, no items added to Steam inventory. Did it again, same result. Hours later I looked at inventory, and all 5 items are now in inventory.
Moral: Be patient, it may take quite some time for the items to show up. 
It also looks like I’m getting Trading Cards for a BRAND NEW Steam Badge. I already owned Quake II, so I suspect this badge is for the remaster version update they gave me:
