Thanks for the post! :+1:

Looks like my Metro collection of free games has increased. Also, don’t miss the other discounted games of the franchise:

I’m kinda confused, i saw steamdb and it shows that the game has been free since 2017

It wasn’t free, it was delisted.

Those charts are not a reliable source of precise information. SteamDB attempts to consolidate different SKUs to produce a single “game’s price” chart, but it obfuscates the whole picture/story for any game (app) that has undergone any SKU (package) shuffling.

See Control app for example: https://steamdb.info/app/870780/
Up till recently the chart was reporting the price for Control Ultimate Edition package: https://steamdb.info/sub/275147/
After the recent introduction of the Control package https://steamdb.info/sub/543422/ from March 1st the chart just notes the price for this one, as if they were the same SKU.

Or for delisting example: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning https://steamdb.info/app/102500/
The chart shows $0 price tag since last summer, when it got delisted.

Metro got delisted years ago, and on occasion(s) relisted with complimentary packages, thus the chart as you see it. View history pages for both apps and packages to see the details.

Yeah I was wondering why put “Free” in the dev sale for a game that has been free for years, I thought it was kinda pointless, now I got it

makes it the only way to actually obtain the non-redux version on steam now
