I think mafia 2 is better than 3 is because i like the old school feel and it’s all round better! I used to not like the crime genre games like gta but i recently bought this in a sale and my god was it fun. I’ve only got 3 hours into this and it looks good and plays good, i’ve also played mafia 3 on my console and i just didn’t like it compared to mafia 2. Thanks for reading

Never played a Mafia game through, but I seem to recall the driving handles radically different. However, I would be most interested in the communities opinion here.

I never played the third one, but I absolutely loved the second. I played the crap out of it, and the music was just my style, I LOVE old music (80’s - 40’s I have nothing more and nothing less, well okay maybe a few 90’s songs.)

Have only played Mafia 2, and whilst I finished it (and the dlc) it was a somewhat empty experience. The story was ok, but certain aspects were undercooked…if I recall correctly once you finished a mission you had to do untold amounts of driving to get back to your apartment, the world felt soulless and sometimes the combat wasn’t all that fun. It just never managed to be a Mafia version of GTA for me, which is what I wanted. Although as I say I still finished it so it wasn’t absolutely horrible.

Yeah the driving is painfully long
Turns out next month for PS+ members you’ll gain access to Mafia 3, so I’ll be able to check it out.

I’ve played the first one on PC and loved the noir atmosphere. Later, I’ve got the same vibe from LA Noir. Sadly, that noir root is missing from the new games.

Okay, so after playing the game for about 3 hours maybe 4, just guessing. Mafia 2 in opinion is much better in certain aspects. Driving, combat and story are so much better in Mafia 2.afia 3, the only things I truly like are the graphics which are obviously way better than the second, as well as the kill moves. So I still think Mafia 2 is much better and would recommend you get it.

Mafia 2 story is great. In Mafia 3 it starts out alright, but then the whole mid and late game is just a grind which just ruins the game. The combat and executions in Mafia 3 is pretty cool though. It’s just a shame that the open world is just kinda empty again.
