I just wanted to make a post saying how much I love the layout of your website, and especially the forum. I had never seen or heard of Discourse before now but really like how websites are starting to change from the 15 year old forum based structure, to this, newer and more modern way of discussions.
It just flows so much better, is so much cleaner and looks really pretty too. Though it can be a little confusing at first though, it’s still nowhere near as complicated as the more traditional forum based menus.

I totally agree with you on Discourse. As someone who has used traditional forums decades and managed many websites with traditional forum software, Discourse is a major improvement in both the UX and administration side of things. Plus, it’s free and open source, which is always a cool bonus!
I remember comming across something very similar in terms of a new discussion layout a while back… I can’t remember what it was called though. I don’t thibk it was Discourse but I don’t know of any other software that has a layout similar to this.
Anyway I do wish more websites started adopting this new method. I still see some smaller ones using PHPbb3 even and I ageee it’s one of the most solid forum software out there but… it’s really old now though.
Anyway to get back on topic I really like the design of the website itself too, and I hope if things go really well for you guys you could look to expanding it a little to something else, simply because I’d love to see more of that awesome website design!
