I downloaded Ultimate Spidey and confirmed it works, but it’s sitting in the waiting list until I have completed Gothic 2 and that won’t be this month.
I’m interested in old games, just have been busy with work this summer.
Wow wow wow. … hold on a sec you’re telling me there’s is a site to download abandonware safely, how I never know about this?
P.D: Theres was a game I was wanting to play since I’m an RTS fan, but it wasn’t on steam or GOG, only through physical copies the game can be played, but this site has it… is armies of exigo btw, lov u so much @delenn13
It will still be here when you get everything done, @Danacscott
@Donluis524 I still run them through my virus scan just to be safe but I haven’t had any problems so far. I am working on a page to add up to the top on instructions for Mame and DOS Box and emulation. I had a friend that had the best instructions on Dos Box on Instructables but it’s gone now. Wish I had taken the time to copy it…GRRR
I am a member of a few FB groups that do emulation and have it all set up for windows and android too including games. All you need to do is download and follow the instructions. I am not really active there; don’t really know a lot of people there but i do the reading etc. If you want the names of the groups, let me know IN a PM. I can’t invite you as they are private and they require answering questions to get approval. If they ask how you found out about the group, you can give my name. Make sure you read the “Featured” section once you join. It has all the basic info/codes to get into their libraries.
Remember, GamesNostalgia it’s not like other abandonware sites: we tested, configured, and packed all the games with the proper emulator so that you can run them immediately on your Windows or Mac computer. No need to install anything else, just play. Only GamesNostalgia does that, seriously!
Since everybody is talking about The Lord of the Rings again, thanks to new Amazon show, we decided to jump on “hype train” and make a post about 4 interesting games that takes place in Middle-Earth.
Here are a few LOTR games worth checking out (all games run on Windows 10):
• The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - action with RPG elements, based on the first book of J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic masterpiece The Lord of the Rings https://www.myabandonware.com/…/the-lord-of-the-rings…
Re LoTR, i think i played The Hobbit before, or the one afterwards. There were very pixilated sprites with jank sword arm animations and man did we died a lot as a party.
Cinemasins did a review ofvan old animated LoTR movie that was as jank, heh. No meanness intended by the script was oddly organised and the voice actress for Galadriel in particular stood out as miscast, imo.
Nice finds @delenn13 and did mew see something about trains?
Here’s some interesting games they uploaded in September:
• First game is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, an action-adventure based on popular books and its movie adaptation (works on Windows 10) https://www.myabandonware.com/…/the-chronicles-of…
• One of the best LOTR games, the real-time strategy The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth, people still play it in multiplayer even after almost 20 years! https://www.myabandonware.com/…/the-lord-of-the-rings…
• The sequel The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II which was based on same formula but expanded: added more gameplay features and enhanced graphics https://www.myabandonware.com/…/the-lord-of-the-rings…
• Plus addon The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II - The Rise of the Witch-king that features the whole new campaign about Witch-King and new multiplayer maps https://www.myabandonware.com/…/the-lord-of-the-rings…
• The second big game is racing game Test Drive Unlimited, which you asked us to upload many times, it’s finally here! https://www.myabandonware.com/game/test-drive-unlimited-js4 (the game works on Windows 10 and fans also restored the multiplayer, check the description)
