Got my first Legendary chest awarded, clicked off of it and it was gone. Is there any way to determine what the contents were? Is it still there?

I don’t know about how not clicking on the chest works, but you can see the coin amounts you’ve gotten when you click on your amount of coins on the top right and scroll down to transaction history

Even if you click off you still receive the reward, and like @knoockles said, it shows in your transaction history on the Coins page.
