I don’t really like pancakes, but I imagine the combination would actually taste pretty good in moderation. Where did you first try this combination?

I live in France so we don’t hate that kinda stuff, but I do like bacon!
I live in Italy, so unless I make them myself, there are no pancakes to be had anywhere (maybe some fast food chain offers them, not sure).
I do like them and I do like bacon, never tried them together, so I’m adding this to the list of things to try
In Sweden we don’t put leavening agents into our pancakes. Flat and crisp in the edges is the best way to make them.
As for bacon in pancakes we make them in a gratin form, just put diced bacon and pancake batter in a form and shove it into the oven for 20-25 minutes and you’ll end up with a real nice thick baked bacon pancake with edges probably reminiscent of Yorkshire pudding. Serve with lingonberry preserve.
