I don’t rely on outside sources, I go and browse Itch on my own. I try to post things that are either recently updated or new releases that are on 100% discount.
But I am a big fan of the indie gaming scene, so I try to keep up, and itch is a great place to see where people toss their ideas. It’s great to see people who just want their thoughts to be heard and to share their own little projects.
Anyway, lots of good little gems out there on Itch, so I am constantly scrolling through the new releases and reading about them…
I also periodically check and add my finds over on SteamGifts as well.

@Danacscott, I wouldn’t worry about that. This “game” is just a shameless flip (or rather a complete rip) of a whole Unity project, which one of the engine’s dev courses are based on.
