Free Support for ALL Windows 10 Mobile Products Will End on December 10

I think I recall some people using a Win Phone here…

“Way back in July 2017, Microsoft officially pulled the plug on the Windows Phone, and its focus on Windows 10 Mobile was waning rapidly. The inevitable happened in January this year, when the Redmond firm said free support for all Windows 10 Mobile products would end on December 10—tomorrow—which means no more security updates, non-security hotfixes, free assisted support options, or online technical content updates… “Because of the lack of security updates, we strongly recommend that if you wish to use Office on a phone you transition to the latest Microsoft Office apps on an iOS or Android phone,” wrote Bill Doll, senior product marketing manager for Office apps strategy at Microsoft.”

Minor edit for what I would think they are really saying.

Well jokes on them I’m running Windows phone 8.1 and it’s never had an update as far as I can tell.

But then I’m not using my phone for much, it’s rarely even connected to my wifi. Only thing of any importance on it is steam guard. I only use it as a phone and I have no intention of buying a new one.

Honestly Microsoft isn’t the same company they use to be, they basically give everything away now. Game pass for almost nothing with the best family share in the industry, win 10 free, office to share with pretty much everyone you know, crazy times lol.

Still hate the pricing of MS Office though. I’m just glad good alternatives are more prevalent.
