I think you need to have steam app running… I tried beforehand and it did nothing, but with steam running and going to the install button it got added to my licenses and key activation without going through downloading it.

Absolutely, the Install button on steamdb always calls the Steam desktop app with steam://install/AppID

Yeah, I’m mentioning this because when adding stuff to your account from steam store to steam you don’t need the app running… you can do it from your browser directly for freebies compared to here, so it might be crucial for someone not knowing
