What’s “temporarily out” are the keys they allocated for the giveaway. Like when I’m on travel for work and a hotel tells me they’re “out of rooms at the company rate” but try to get me to reserve a more expensive room. In both cases, they have the product, they’re just choosing not to give it to you because of their business model.

I give this a pass anyway, but then again I refuse to play any game that puts me in contact with random people on the internet.

Rather than saying that keys are temporarily exhausted and giving false hope that they may one day get more, they should just be honest and say “sorry, there are no more keys. better luck next time.”

Personally i don’t mind them sitting in my account as a reminder for giveaways i missed because of time zones.

Yeah this is a shitty move tbh, I sent them a mail cause I still haven’t gotten Meadow, which I “traded” and owe to @anyamtikja and they basically responded “no, no keys ever”

quote: Unfortunately, due to abuse and unanticipated popularity, we ran through our stock of limited keys quicker than expected. We are working hard to improve the experience for next time and hope you will join us for our next big sale

I woke up to this::frowning:

"Dear Humble Store customer,

Recently, you were able to place an order for a free copy of Fractured Lands from the Humble Store. We’re very sorry, but this was actually a mistake due to some technical problems on our end.

If you placed a purchase order for Fractured Lands while it was 100% off, your order will not be fulfilled and will be cancelled.

Fractured Lands will be on sale for 30% off from now until 10 a.m. PT on November 17, in case you would still like to pick up the game. We apologize that we weren’t able to fulfill the 100% discount for you. Thank you for being the awesome customer that you are!

Best,

The Humble Store Team"

If it was a mistake…Why say this :interrobang: :grey_question::question:

Wow. So they say they’ll send keys and then say it was a mistake? Sounds to me like poor management.

It’s probably because that’s the only message they have at hand and no actual “sorry, it was a mistake” type message for these situations. Just my guess. :woman_shrugging:

Well, someone should suggest they make one…because they have been “ducking up” a lot lately.
