I have a question about a specific game they have in their sale.

I am not experienced in knowledge about playing games “solo” (which I prefer) when they are mainly designed to be played multiplayer online.

I like the looks of “Days of War”, but the only part of the description that may apply to my preference is this: “Play online in 32-player multiplayer or hone your skills offline against bots and in the gun range.”

Has anyone played this game, or know in general what I might expect for this type of environment? When there is no single-player campaign, can I just play against AI bots using the main maps (which I love the looks of their cities etc), or in this case would I only be able to play against bots in a small limited “gun range”?

Also, what happens when all their servers are dead in the future?

The gun range is just for practicing your accuracy, the game has “multiplayer” bots and by the looks of it that’s also all it has as the player base seems dead. You can play the maps populated with bots same as you would with other people.
The future is now! servers are already dead.

So does that mean the game can not be played anymore, not even against bots? My goal would be to play bots on the main maps, but could I if servers are dead, that’s the question.

I don’t know for certain. By dead I meant the servers have no population, they are still running as far as I can tell. You are able to host your own local server to play on so there is no need for public servers to be running, at least not if all you want is to do is sightseeing or play against bots.

I’ve never played it, but I do recall seeing the original boxed version at Office Depot once years ago.

in my experience steam and uplay works in a bit of a different way, uplay seemingly a bit “weird”.
Steam would just “overwrite” you current base game upgrading it to the deluxe because the package was different/“superior”
disclaimer, not sure this is how Uplay operates all the time/with all games: Uplay seems to sometime not so much upgrade your existing game like steam does, but straight up add a separate entry of a new game so you can have duplicates of the same game in your account,
^one way this doesn’t happen is when you have (possibly separate) deluxe key that you can enter directly in and upgrade in the game, ex when you enter keys “inside” Assassins Creed itself

-not sure if it helps/makes it worse or just more confusing, but that has been my experience a couple of times

Looks like the final 6 games have been revealed (starting from Bomber Crew to Leisure Suit Larry). Kind of a bummer that some of the games I was hoping for weren’t part of the sale, but at least there were a few good and interesting titles throughout the whole thing.
