My wife and I played through the first We Were Here (the free one on Steam). Bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, some of the puzzles were fun. On the other, they decided it was necessary to add “excitement” to some of the puzzles by making them timed death puzzles, which were completely at odds with the otherwise-encouraged careful exploration of the environment, and which broke immersion by killing you and then just having you start the puzzle over. Overall I would hesitate to recommend it very much, but it wasn’t completely terrible so you might like it.

The puzzle mechanic was neat but the main voice actor (your connection to the outside world; narrator isn’t the right word but I can’t think of a concise term for their role at the moment) never ceased to annoy me.
