@cacronia Mostly Street Fighter 6, Spider-Man, DLCs for the games I have, Yakuza Collection and a few others.

@cacronia I got it mostly due to this month’s Humble Choice which has Yakuza 4. The collection includes all Yakuza games except for Like a Dragon.

Tried to find something that piqued my interest, anything that made me feel any sort of excitement or desire to install and play right away coming away with nothing. I have plenty of good games that I have no interest in playing already, I don’t really need any more.
So I guess another steam sale goes by leaving my wallet undisturbed.
I did end up pruning my wishlist a little though, old early access games from 2015 still not finished. Gotta wonder what they’ve been up to for 8 years.

8 years really isn’t that long for Early access, especially if it is a smaller Indie studio. Many AAA games take longer than that and they have larger established dev teams with upfront budget. 7 days to die and Project Zomboid are both going on their 10th year in EA, both are still releasing awesome updates. I look at it as they will be done when they are ready and until then I will have fun playing them and dont care that they still have the EA tag.

They’ve been in early access for 8 years, didn’t bother trying to find out how long they were in development for before they launched into early access. I care about the EA tag because I’ve seen way too many games stall out and never finish, or the dev changing the game to something entirely unrecognizable from what was first on offer. But then unfortunately that seems to be a risk you take with any game these days, apparently a dev team can take over an old game and start removing content that people payed to have access to at their whim with no recourse.

Yeah for sure there have been a bunch of failed EA games on Steam and horrible devs, Osiris New Dawn the devs got mad at the players and just cancelled all further development. I was just meaning I dont immediately hate on a game just because of long EA development, if the game is good the tag shouldnt matter much. With games like Osiris, I just look at it as a failed investment. It sucks but plenty of other good games to play.

I’ve been burned by like 2-3 EA games, but overall, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them. One of the newest being BattleBit Remastered. Baldur’s Gate III, Project Zomboid, Dyson Sphere Program, Lunacid, Dread Delusion, and many more. However, there are a considerable amount of EA titles that just go dark one day.
I try to measure it against expectations and reality before I buy EA. What I mean is, I’ll watch tons of videos, see the full extent of available content at the moment and see if I can find devs actively updating.

And so the Summer Sale has came to an end, leaving a bunch of people broke and with huge backlogs to deal with, including yours truly!

I have already gotten halfway through Tunic and given up on it. Loved the mystery and exploration, but then it got unfun.
Now I’m having lots of fun with Cassette beasts.

I didn’t buy anything because I spent my summer money on books last month, but a friend bought Conception II for me and I’m on the final dungeon of that now. Seems I’ve played quite a bit of it over these last two weeks
