your assertion is that because the characters goes in roughly the same direction, at approximate similar times, while some non-identical “8bit” music plays, that it = copy paste?

“inspired by” might be very likely
but considering the abundance of 8-16bit games, old and new, are out there, probably wouldn’t be that far fetched stuff like this happened
“inspired by” seems to hold true, as it was intended so, but not literal copy paste equating to theft that’s for sure
