It is a loss for the retro gaming preservation community. I dove into emulators more deeply last year and though I didn’t know the developers, I knew the content. They do a lot of unpaid work in their free time to do this and I appreciate them.
It is a reminder to reach out to your loved ones to make sure they are ok. Or if you have serious personal problems to reach out to someone qualified (not me) or call a hotline.
No click if bigot.
Requiem æternam dona eis, Domine.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Linking emulators is free and acceptable. ROMs are illegal and bad and you should never download them from anywhere on the internet and they all have viruses and should never be linked anywhere or you become liable for bad things to happen to you.
I was always a zsnes kind of guy myself, sad to hear such a cornerstone in the retro gaming community is no longer with us. I’m pretty sure I played his translation of bahamut lagoon, great game and an even greater mystery as to why it never saw a proper western release.
Well, may they rest in peace, and it’s sad that we see such things in plain 2021.
Hating on people due to their color/gender identity/origins/religion/etc. is a step back in our evolutionary route and also as an individual.
Also, it shows how it’s important to have people who care about you no matter who you are and what happens to you. It’s times like these that I’m glad that communities like this one exists.
I mean it plays snes roms very capably, I don’t know what sort of advancements snes emulation has gone through the past decade but zsnes delivers the correct experience with every game I’ve played. Unless Bsnes has like VR compatibility or something I don’t see what vital improvements there might be.
Alright, well that’s a good reason. Although I do not download roms so unless they can find a way to infect my local rom archive it’s not a huge risk. Still a good reason for zsnes to be mothballed.
