Let it Snow

I bought my current my bike during winter and when the weather hit 6°C I thought it was warm enough for a ride. My throat hurt like hell after 5 minutes and I saw black. I actually thought I was dying.

I use my bicycle year round and we can get some pretty heavy snow fall and some good freezing temperatures, -15C is not uncommon. You just have to dress properly and try to be aware of the road surface. The worst of it is when there’s a layer of mostly hard snow that you cut through at random, that can really throw your steering off if you’re not on top of things.

Right now it’s only -1 though and I’m off to do some shopping, on my bike.

2014 was the year the ice caves formed on Lake Erie on the edge of Crystal Beach, CA. People came for miles around to see them and walk on the “water”. It was a shame they had to destroy it before someone got hurt when the weather started to warm up.

We just had a big snowstorm in St. Louis , MO the week before Thanksgiving. We got so much snow and ice that classes got cancelled!

Nice, hope you enjoyed your snow day, being in Louisiana things shut down if it just gets too cold regardless if there is snow(there usually isn’t).

It’s blisteringly hot where I currently live so it’s been really long since I’ve seen snow as well. So here’s to hoping we can see snow sometime next year!

While not too hot here, short sleeves and shorts have been called for on some days and really hope to get some snow or snow like weather one day soon. Here’s to hoping for both of us.
